Ballistic

Carl Devros is a mutant who grew up watching WWII films. He loved them. His father took him hunting, and Carl became a crack shot.
When his abilities manifested in highschool, he immediately saw his chance and kept his secret hidden. Carl would enter the world of combat as a super hero.

His powers mimic military grade weapons, he can shoot any bullet from his pointed finger (even machine gun fire), toss imaginary grenades with real effects, and even shoot tank rounds. His most impressive ability is the dreaded orbital blast, where an imaginary satellite fires an energy weapon straight down upon the target for real world actual effects. He never leaves shell casings, but the bullets he fires are real and can be recovered - interestingly the bullets appear to be an organic white bone-like material.

Further Carl can manipulate the power from stun to lethal effects far beyond the actual weapon invoked. Stun bullets bounce off a target and never penetrate the skin. He gets around with super leap and parkour style travel. Carl summons an armored costume similar to Captain America's sans shield (blue and black).

Class: Gunner (not available at launch)
Primary energy blast, special effect, military weapons, animation pointed fingers
Secondary Defense

Carl went camping a lot in school, he found a secluded spot with a high sandy bank where he could practice unobserved. After graduation, he moved to Titan city, took the name, "Ballistic" and went bounty hunting. His parents think he is a shoe salesman.

Ballistic has a quirk. He hates ginormous bugs. he must kill them on sight. The giant ants under Titan freak him out, and he uses full power on them. He has not met insectoid aliens but would probably kill them before he realizes they are sentient. Giant roach people may be nice, but Ballistic will never find out...

Ballistic may well be played as a straight hero...but he may end up a vigilante.

Point of information: most

Point of information: most bullets fired from ordinary firearms show no marks from firing pins, because the firing pin usually strikes the primer cap which is at the back of the cartridge (casing). Most of those firearms whose firing pins don't strike the primer cap are rimfire weapons that use cartridges with hollow rims filled with the primer.

Perhaps you're thinking of the marks the rifling of the barrel would leave on the outside of the bullet?
