Some of you probably did know, but for the rest of you, it's the official announcement (and for those who balked at ten plus hours footage, it's the exciting bits boiled down)

Did that whiteboard say "Need more buildings, geeks" or "Need more Buildings Geeks"?

Thanks for the highlight summary. Good to see everything coming along.
So, did the mention of this week's upcoming Twitch stream on the Hijinx page mean a special reveal is going to happen on Friday?
BTW, is it just me or does everyone get a little thrill when they see the login page?
Spurn all ye kindle.
Not just you!

I've been checking out the streams but enjoyed the summary video. I must say, I have checked out SoH and VO along with CoT and the art for your buildings and interior rooms is far the best of the three. Not saying the others don't have some good stuff. SoH has some great building designs in Apotheosis City, but the textures in CoT with the marble in the bank and the shiny floors in the labs really look great. I also enjoy the level of detail in your signs and room accessories.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets enjoyment out of seeing those things.
I'd bet both would be accurate. ;)

You have any idea how much I would love to have people just putting buildings down?

OOOooh! Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!
I mean, I know basically nothing about coding or world building, or game design, but I've always been an avid fan of game's base/housing/player home building aspects. =P
So exciting to see this footage! I will certainly be watching Fridays at 7pm! Keep up the great work!

Depending on my job status at the end of the month I may or may not be able to help with this at least part time. I have some CAD experience and am most definitely inclined to learn more of that to beef up the old resume.

Not just you two, it really is exciting to see.
I feel tingles. All over. Some in places I don't even know how to process.
FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)
CoT environments are snazzy compared to the others, gotta love VO cardboard cars though. Great work. The ending with the character creation was great.
As a child, I thought my name was handsome, cause that is what everyone called me.
The Rooks' giant sausage fingers/proportions always weird me out a bit...
It comes from pushing those chess pieces around so much: abnormal muscle development.

While funny, not actually true. They're still using an older version of the character rig. We have not yet ported over all of their clothing to the latest rig.

Still no news about the August's stream that disapears of your Twitch channel?
I believe that the saved videos only remain about 30 days or something.
For normal accounts, they get deleted after 14 days.
If they have Twitch turbo/Twitch Partner status then its 60 days.
Highlights though, are saved indefinitely (and can be up to 2 hours (i believe) in duration). So for the longer streams, you can just break them up into parts one, part 2, part 3 etc etc
So basically if they have been deleted and no local recording was made, then once it has been deleted from the Twitch servers (and not uploaded to another site such as Youtube), then it is gone for good.
Should note: This information is *NOT* new, the last time that they changed the duration that recordings were saved was about 3 years ago...
And until June, the last time we'd used Twitch was before the Kickstarter. Duly noted the need to manually archive the streams.

perk up my feline friend. as the game gets closer we will get all kinds of how-to and promo videos. I really cannot wait.
and who knows? Samuraiko may already be a member here...just under a different name.
I intend to purchase video and editing software myself to make a few videos myself. My goal is to make music vids of COT.
once the creator is down pat, I can bet the devs will have some fun with video themselves.

It was a shame the stream was cancelled last night, but completely understandable under the circumstances. I'm sure the whole community wishes everyone affected by these events to be safe and to escape with as little damage to their homes as possible.
I do have a suggestion for a future stream if I may. Given that there are different "versions" of the game developing in parallel to be combined later, would it be possible to see a little "gameplay" from each? Not sure exactly how it breaks down, but if we were to see, say, a little from the character creator, mission test, combat and instance maps, it might be a great way to get a sense of the overall state of things.

While I am ok with the idea of showing the various segments, split from the other pieces, many parts would simply not make sense. The combat mechanics, for example, have no animations (the animations being part of a different system).

Any idea when all these different parts will become one system? I'd imagine with alpha around the corner, integration would he imminent, no?
That's fair enough. The thought popped into my head that this may be a good way to give people a "state of the game" stream. Of course, whatever you think is the best way to show off the game with stuff that you're ready to reveal.

I remember way back when Master of Orion III was being developed, the "previewed" the planetary invasion game mechanics with a simulator. No art or anything, just a table of unit types with columns for "us" and "them". Fill in the numbers, press the button to start the battle, and watch the numbers change until one side won. Boring as hell because there were a bunch of new unit types, the techs weren't the same as in MOO2, and no real context for what you could deploy and what you could base on the planet.

Never watch sausage being made. Wait until it's done and enjoy.

Good point dark ether everyone loves bacon but we all know how it's made MWM probably lost some hair from extensive pulling just don't touch the beard tyche we will all try to be patient and wait
Yes, fair enough. Even without animations, what would be of interest to me would be various combat mechanics and power set design, if such things would even be visible in any sense. But I will happily check it out whenever the powers that be determine the time is right.
