It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Wearing the Cape RPG

Some of you may be familiar with the Wearing the Cape series of super hero books by Marion G. Harmon. He's got a Kickstarter campaign to publish a table-top RPG for it using the Fate system. The Kickstarter campaign is already fully funded, but there are a few pledges left to get your own hero/villain included in one of the source books. I'm going to create a new cape reminiscent of my favorite COV character for it.

Got sucked into that series

Got sucked into that series because of the Grrl Power crossover. Next thing you know I'm getting the whole series from Amazon for my Kindle... And seriously considering backing the RPG. I should have some more money available before it ends.

It's a great series. I have, so far, demolished each book in a weekend. I'm tempted to check out the crossover series. I've even run into an Astra clone on DA.

Love the Harmon stories and

Love the Harmon stories and the crossovers. Don't know that we need a specific RPG for it, though, when M&M still does the trick well enough. I prefer to go with XD20 rules, stripping out excess complexity in favor of simple mechanics and storytelling. Your mileage may vary.

A Wing and a Prayer, A Strong, Strong Wind, All Forests are One, Power Struggles - Venture City metahuman novels in the spirit of City of Heroes and other comic book superhero fiction. (http://bit.ly/sdpbooks)

I think of it as more a Fate

I think of it as more a Fate system sourcebook than a specific RPG. As for stripping out complexity in favor of storytelling, that's what the Fate system is great for: Just don't add the complexity in the first place. ^_^

Half a mo, there, Grimfox! You ran into an Astra clone on the Dark Anarchist?

Deviant Art. Asked the artist what the deal was but they claimed ignorance that it was just a commission. The character was a dead ringer, same icon on the chest, though he said it was an energy blaster.

How would I know if I ran into DA and not TTA?

The outfit is right, more or

The outfit is right, more or less (I don't think the cape should be split, and the star on the belt buckle should be an S), and the main symbol looks right, but the chest it is on is much too...enhanced, for an underdeveloped teenage pixie. ^_^

Then there's the Atlas behind her - Not John Chandler, but the guy the park and the hurricane were named for. My guess (with the assumption of innocence turned up high) is someone had thought up the name Astra independently, made the blaster in CoH, and after seeing the book made an homage costume.

The way to tell the TTA from the DA is that the DA is much less concerned about collateral damage.

Never let the chest be an

Never let the chest be an indication of the characters age. Having gotten quite a few commissions done, I can tell you, artists don't often listen. :p

Yeah, I've a commission that

Yeah, I've a commission that I can't even show cause the artist was so far off. I do make a point of saying, "She's not that big. Here's a reference." Live and learn. Of course back then I'd ask the artists to do ridiculous stuff. Now I use lots of pictures. "I like this piece you did. Particularly this that and the other thing on this piece. I'd like something similar for my character. Here's the reference sheet I made and the body shape reference. Okay, here is deposit, please ask questions" and that is about it. So far good results.

I would say things like "She

I would say things like "She's not that big." Point to pictures. Give screen shots. However, I just started to shrug it off as "Artist interpretation" though, when everyone in CoH starting going down to the minimum chest slider and getting even shorter than my 5ft tall character. I upped her chest because part of the appeal was, so many where way up on the slider before.

*sigh* Why'd they all get shorter and smaller?!

Well "they" say larger

Well "they" say larger breasts appeal to men with lower self-esteem. So maybe as a community we were more confident and less interested in large chests. Or it was just that even at the smallest size the breasts weren't all that small to begin with. We ought not to dig too deep into that topic here ;)

Wearing the Cape is a great series any word on when the next book will come about?

Now explain the female

Now explain the female artists doing the same :p It was a total artist thing.

I heard mention of this book series when Grrrl Power mentioned it. Still no idea what it's really about though.

But seriously, it's about a young woman who gets superpowers when a bridge is dropped on her, and the changes this brings about. Medium to Medium-High realism (YMMV).

So I've been meaning to dig

So I've been meaning to dig into Grrl Power. I had the week off so 458 pages later I'm nearly caught up...so far very good. I do wish I could read faster.

I think my biggest issue with the comic is that basically every woman looks to have exactly the same build, and this is coupled with them being the vast majority of the cast. I can barely tell many characters apart because they're nearly a cut-and-paste of another character.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".

I'm all caught up now. It's better in the more recent comics, there is a more diverse body group. I think it helps to read them in bulk it's easier to pick out the characters through repetition. I do have problems with characters beyond Max, Sydney, Peggy, and Dabbler but most of the rest are just Harem alts. When in doubt, assume Harem. I will say in the most recent comics the drawing quality has gone down a little. I think part of that is that it's taken 500 pages to cover two weeks with 450 pages covering just two days. I think he's losing himself too much in the details of the day to day. Look at the shading on Max in the most recent strip vs the shading in her bio head shot. Totally different.

I like Anvil (Kenya), too... Actually, I notice that one can tell many of the heroines apart, by their Hair. Still, I sometimes get confused by the Harem's. Happily, the strip usually includes a side-bar with visual 'tags' telling who the primary participants on a given page are.

Be Well!
