I did a search, and couldn't find a thread in regard to this. Apologies if my search-fu is weak.
Ears -
Please do not tie animal ears to tails. There are plenty of Comic characters that have animal ears (real and costume) and no tails.
I am sure there are many people that would like quite a number of specific types of ears. My personal request would be ears that look similar to this:

Please allow animal ears with no human ears.
Tails -
As mentioned above, please do not link tails and ears.
Also please allow both tails and belts.
Tails should be an extension of the spine, and not at a 90 degree angle to the spine. I know something correct won't look right on an upright model. However, something less than 90 degrees should be possible.
Feral face -
I would love to have a face that isn't an animal head stuck on a human body. Here are some examples:

Basically a bestial face, with fangs.
Considering that MWM have said that we won't have any real "slots" for our costume options (like CoH had and CO has) I seriously doubt that they link animal ears and tails as one "unit". Heck they didn't do it in CoH and doesn't do it in CO so again I seriously doubt it.
As for a bestial face on an otherwise human proportioned head, I'm all for it. Only thing I would explicitly add would be the ability to remove "normal human" ears so we can have only animal ones or even none at all.
This is one of my pet peeves. There should only be one set of ears per person, thank you very much.

Already done, as the default head has no ears. (for this specific reason, plus for those who wear spandex over their ears)

Although I imagine spandex on the head would include some sort of ear bulge. But having said that, a quick internet image search reveals that ear bulges are actually pretty rare... interesting.

Ears and tails were linked in DC Online. Which was frustrating, because it meant that you couldn't make a Black Panther, Catman, Wildcat, or whatever type character unless they had a tail. I've no idea if that has changed there, I've not played that game in years. All the above is good to hear.
You could not create anything in DCUO, I tried create Ken from Street Fighter and failed miserably. I mean seriously, no gi and gloves? Really?
Anyway the above is good to know. It seems like CoT is taking this character generator thing to the next level.

It wasn't just tails and ears that were linked, it was the entire body since it also linked skin and head-looks. The main reason, afaik, for this was the limited processing power of the PS3.
