I've always been a bit vague about just how strong Paladin is. I've usually just said he's not as strong as Spider-man. but the exact amount he can lift has been anywhere from 1 to 10 tons depending on the game system and my current feelings.
I would like to pin it down and if you can help me I can.
Paladin has always traveled around by jumping across the rooftops of the city.
Since crossing a 5 lane street with parking and sidewalks requires no less than a 100 ft jump, I've always said he can jump that far.
Paladin weighs just under 200 lbs.
So how strong is he?
How much can he lift?
Does anyone here know how to do the math?

In rough terms and using VERY round numbers, to reliably be able to jump that far he'd need to be around 20 times stronger/faster/more powerful than an normal human (raw slow strength doesn't cut it for power moves like leaps) once you take surface stability, friction, and other factors into account.
This would mean, assuming his "base" build is a strong, athletic, but not "huge" human who can lift (overhead press, a la Marvel) around his own body weight, then he would be able to lift (press) nearly two tons. Highly respectable for a street-level hero.
Also, if you scaled up his physical and cognitive speed and reaction time, he should be able to sprint over a hundred mph (but not the full 300-400 mph the math suggests due to, again, surface stability and the effects of various types of friction and lack thereof), catch arrows fairly easily, but struggle to dodge bullets (it'd be roughly like dodging an arrow for a normal human). And with scaled-up endurance he could sustain that sprint for nearly 10 minutes.
If you scaled up his toughness, he'd be incredibly resistant to blunt force trauma, but would still take significant damage from blades and bullets--though not nearly as much as a normal human would sustain.
If you scaled up his healing--saying he heals both 20x faster AND more completely than a normal human (that last bit is important, some people never fully recover from a significant wound)--he'd heal from a significant but noncritical stab wound in around a day and a significant but noncritical gunshot wound in a couple of weeks. And wouldn't take many sick days ;P.
And if you scaled up his longevity, he'd should easily live to see his thousandth birthday if he cuts back on the lucky strikes and doesn't get his damn fool ass killed heroing.
This is of course all very approximate and conveniently rounded, and based on using the high side of average athletic human performance but with movement functionality scaled down to accommodate the actual physics of the movement (ie. wind friction, lack of friction/surface stability, etc.)

Thank you.
It seems I've been right on in my usual estimates. (see the thread, How Do Your Supers Fight?).
I was worried because Spider-man is said to lift 10 tons according to the Marvel Universe Handbook, but his writers have pretty consistently had him jumping around 30 ft, which means he has to web swing to cross wide streets.
Of course Paladin isn't totally consistent either. His speed is increased but I've said in the comics that he can run around 50 mph, not 3 or 4 hundred.
Paladin doesn't just have scaled up healing but a special healing power. He once grew back a lost hand in a matter of hours, and a secret ninja cult was able to grow a new person from the severed hand (a bit of magic was involved)
Finally Paladin never needs rest or sleep. A power that can't easily translate to most games because it should negate all energy costs, and that would break a lot of games. In COH he could recover endurance very quickly and had reduced endurance cost on several key abilities. He never ran out of Endurance but it took a long time to get him to that.
On the other hand he isn't as resistant to physical damage as you suggested and wears an insulted costume and bulletproof jacket.

Hey hitting 100mph is pretty good considering terminal velocity for a human is like 120mph.

Yeah, and I may have overestimated.
When being 20 times faster, stronger, more explosive, and more durable than a normal person (theoretically capable of running almost 20 times faster under "ideal" circumstances--like in a vacuum with perfect traction) meets the realities of human body-mechanics, wind friction, normal surfaces that can't handle the power of your stride, and insufficient friction/traction, it's hard to speculate.
Even those 100+ foot jumps would often leave damaged surfaces behind from both launch and landing. Actually, The Tick cartoon portrayed this best. He just totally wrecked The City while "roof hopping".
I mean, 20x normal human sprint speed would be around 300-400 mph, and that just ain't gonna happen on a raw physical level without magic or other powers that actually mitigate the external physics. Which is a separate issue and individual to the hero and her/his powers.
I was trying to speculate as to the capabilities of a human with the raw physicality (not just strength, but speed and explosiveness) needed for realistically being able to routinely jump 100 ft.--which is, well, speculative :P. For example, the Red Kangaroo, which is often almost 200 Ib. has actually been documented at a 43 foot long leap and they can "only" hit 35 mph, but their body-mechanics are completely different than a humans.
