By the time MWM manages to release City of Titans, I have to wonder if 4k HD will be the new normal. Is it possible to do?

too late for 4k video?
I'm not sure about possible. My question would be "Is it advisable?" In my personal opinion I would say no. Maybe save it for a later ultra mode update.
My reasoning is so this game we all want to be successful is available to as many as possible. I am generally skeptical of how fast the media portrays PC advancement. Those trying to declare 4K as the new normal anytime soon are very probably trying to sell you something. Heck my house still has an SD TV in the main room and I have no desire to pay for an upgrade. And we ALL would be paying for an upgrade to 4K w/o regard to if we can use it. Increased time spent on art and character assets plus space on the hard drive for something that may not actually be widely adopted.
Recall with me, if you will, that CoH was originally playable over a dial up connection. That is the type of thing that I personally desire to see in it's spiritual successor.
Well said Impulse King. The fact that they say they want to make it available to everyone would be a strong indicator that they are going the route that steers away from top notch. Like the post above, maybe down the line(if 4k does become the new normal, who knows) then they can add the feature but it seems like what is already semi niche(unfortunately) will become even less so if they worry about going all out and best of the best with things.
