Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Power suggestions

I had posted these on the Save City of Heroes facebook page, someone suggested I put them here. I don't know how close the titan powersets and archetypes will be to Heroes, I haven't read the forum yet.

Tank/scrapper defense:
Psionic defense, telepathic fields that make enemies psychologically unable to hit you compelling them to miss, makes them unable to put force into melee attacks effecting damage reduction, use psionic energy to restrict other forms of energy effecting elemental damage reduction, taunting psionic decoys.

Gelatinous body. Attacks splorch through you, not really causing harm and then seal right up. Graphic of slimy holes on your body appearing and fading away when attacked. Some tanks like ice have a power that takes them out of combat while they heal, this one does it by melting into a puddle on the ground. Use same melt animation when defeated. Combination d/r and fast healing. Kinda goofy, but could be fun.

Gadget defense: Kevlar, ablative armor, defensive force fields, adrenalin injection (self heal, damage buff)

Tank/scrapper offence:
Bestial, mauling enemies with your teeth.

Elastic melee. Longer range than most melee because of stretching limbs. Good pair for gelatinous body.

Blaster:
Thrown weapons, surikens, (cone damage) tranq darts,(slowing effect, probably tier 1 or 2) baseball,(blunt damage, stun. Probably tier 1 or 2) molotov cocktail, grenade.
Teleport melee, player camera stays put but character ports to the enemy, punches them and ports back to start. AOEs show him popping all over from one enemy to the next.

Stone blast, flinging rocks at opponents.

Battle drones, plasma beam attacks come from drones flying around him. Attack animations are holding up a tablet and tapping at it. Matching secondary powerset. One drone if you have one or the other, two drones if you have both. I find visualizing this amusing, the character seems so smug just tapping at his tablet while everyone else battles around him.

Controller:
Phantasm control, ghosts swoop around the battle damaging enemies by passing through them, controlling with fear effects.
Insect swarms, fire ants, mosquitoes, wasps, scorpions.

Masterminds:
Self replication, minions are clones of the player with powers based on whatever secondary set you chose

Werewolves, minions appear human when summoned then transform.

Ghosts, pretty self explanatory

Insects, each minion is a swarm of a particular insect type. Matching secondary power based on the insect controller set.

Mafia, suits and tommy guns.

Giant spiders.

Telepath, take the controller's psionic decoys and make them capable of attacking and thus becoming minions.

Mad scientist. Minions are horrifying Frankensteinish monstrosities, some with brain-in-jar heads, or genetically engineered abominations.

Rikti defectors, minions are Rikti who oppose the war, player is a hero who they have chosen to work with. Minions emerge from the same kind of portal the enemy Rikti use. Comes with Rikti Halloween costume power in case the player wants to be a defector themselves. (Edit: Titans probably won't have Rikti, so this is probably out.)

Defenders:
Nanites. Regeneration buffs for allies, force field generators. Kind of a hybrid of empathy and bubblers. Unique revive power- while fallen ally's dead body is being slowly repaired, the nanites remotely conrol his corpse. For a few seconds they are able to stand and fight while still dead and cannot be harmed because they have no hitpoints. After a set amount of time, 15 seconds maybe, they gain 1/3 their hp and a regeneration buff.

I was going to add a pic of some sketches I made for costume part ideas, but I don't see any way to add an image.

I'm not sure where it is when

I'm not sure where it is when you make a new thread, but ATM it's below the right side of the box I'm typing in: the link to [url=http://cityoftitans.com/filter/tips]More information about text formats[/url]. It has info on formatting tags, including img tags.

As for your powers, the main thing to consider is "aesthetic decoupling". The only limits to what your powers look like will be what animation choices the devs have already (that is, as of when you're making or updating your character) made to go with your chosen powers. Colors are almost certainly going to be available. Solid projectile choices may be more limited at first. Really complicated stuff like nunchaku may take a long time.

Gelatinous body defense, oh

Gelatinous body defense, oh my god.

I volunteer to write the code to do body mesh distortions (and temporary hole creation) to allow this to happen!

While I'm at it, I'll also do stretchy-man bodies.

The very existence of the taunting tank irritates, for it requires idiotic AI that obeys the taunt.

I had a thought about

I had a thought about gelatinous body. Basically, you don't feel temperature so you’re highly resistant to fire and ice, but they cause debuffs. Fire softens your body, making physical attacks do more by reducing your d/r vs slashing, piercing and blunt. Ice hardens your body, making it harder to reform when damaged, slowing your regen powers. If the enemy is only using elements you'll stomp him easy, if one guy is torching you while another is shooting you may have a problem. Makes it functionally unique from other powers instead of just graphically unique, I think.

I kind of felt gelatinous

I kind of felt gelatinous body would be more problematic with elements, not less. Cold would freeze you, heat boil you, etc. It was physical attacks that are fractioned, or ignored entirely.
