I did find that to be a very interesting release. I've always shied away from game development because I didn't have the aptitude for coding. But world building is something that I find I can do relatively easily. Furthermore the VR demo makes it positively intuitive. I'm seriously considering upgrading my PC for this purpose. However, there is one glaring hole. That is assets. As far as I am aware you would still have to build your assets used in the game in an outside program. I'm not currently aware of a Maya or other 3D design program that would allow for that type of integration.
It's not too far outside the box though, (virtual box is infinite, quite the conundrum) to consider that someone will make an "alt-tab" app that will let you "zoom out" of URE and "zoom in" to a asset creator. Where you can then grab an asset and toss it over to a project file for URE to use.
Unity is also building a VR building tool (called chessboard I think) that accomplishes a similar goal for their software.
Consider the comedic value of watching your world builder wearing an electric mask waving their arms around in an empty room for hours on end. Or worse have a room full of people doing similar design tasks in a shared VR/Physical space. What a strange dance that would be.
