Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Bit early to ask

I am currently in a debate on video cards and I am looking for a new card to play this game. I currently have a 7870 Radeon. I like Radeon over Nvidia so I prefer to stick around with this company. My question is what is the next step up on this card I can go to without breaking the bank?

My suspicion is that the card

My suspicion is that the card you have is a lot better than some of the ones used to test internally, I wouldn't worry too much.

As Minotaur implied probably

As Minotaur implied probably just about any "new" GPU card (as in any GPU that gets released in 2016 or later) is likely going to be able to handle CoT pretty well. That's even including what would be considered the "low end economy" cards from any of the leading companies.
Basically CoT is not going to require bleeding-edge GPU tech to run. The Devs have aready stated that they don't want to force people to need top-end multi-thousand dollar rigs to play. Obviously the better your GPU card(s) are the better your gameplay will be. But beyond that I suspect just about any PC built within the last year or two will have very little trouble running CoT once it's finally released.

I look forward this Christmas

I look forward this Christmas to possibly building a new gaming computer if I manage my finances right, that right now is my top priority my current rig should be able to run it. Perhaps I'm just being greedy? :)

One of the marketing points of the Unreal 4 engine is that it's supposed to have good built-in support for a wider range of computer hardware. The net effect of that is that CoT should work pretty well not only on top-end machines but even older, less capable rigs. It's really hard to see anyone having serious trouble with it unless you're still running with the same machine you used back when CoH first launched. ;)

I finally got a new computer.

I finally got a new computer.
It uses windows 10 and I can once again play Champions online and Age of Wulin (which used to be called Age of Wushu)
I'm happy and I feel confident that I'll be ready for COT when it launches.

When I played City of Heroes

When I played City of Heroes it was on a 20 dollar Nvidia card, and I could run it on Medium great, Ultra would lag sometimes(especially if I was trying to watch a movie on another monitor). I enjoyed the game just fine and didn't feel like I needed anything better. A year or 2 ago I got a GTX 760 Superclocked so I will be ready for CoT :)

As far as Radeon goes, an R9 380 isn't crazy expensive, maybe that could be a good card to save up for?

I'll be upgrading my video

I'll be upgrading my video card here over the holidays. Right now I currently use a Radeon HD 7870. However I'm using a AMD FX-6300 Six Core processor.. So not sure what I'll be able to upgrade it with without doing a completely overhaul on the system.

I'm pretty sure that's the

I'm pretty sure that's the processor I have Truvidien, I am planning on eventually getting a GTX 960 or better and I plan on using the same processor(if it lasts that long). I don't think you will have any trouble with whatever GPU you are looking for with that processor

I always build my own

I always build my own machines (well since 2004 when I built my first that I used to play my first MMO - CoH). You can get close to the prices by using one of the custom builders, but I find my machines always last longer and the parts are a little better. They've made it pretty easy to build your own machine. Also, if you can have the patience (and the space), you can save a lot of money by watching the sales on places like Newegg, TigerDirect, etc. and get items for a lot less. This requires you to have your build decisions pretty well made up but you can hold off on the big 3 (motherboard, processor, video card) if you want. The safe bet is that the slotting for those 3 is not too likely to change, so you can usually figure those out as well and watch for the sales.

Building a machine is always the best way to go about if you are really serious about having a gaming rig. I built my last one for just a little under $900 and it did what a Alienware could do but even better. It may look really difficult but in the end it's mostly just lego's for adults. :) They have all kinds of videos over Youtube and such that you'll be able to go through and do it yourself.

It should last that long. Mostly all depends on what type of games you are trying to play and what settings you are looking for. I usually just play MMO's I'm not all interested in any other game because I can just look for it to see if it'll have a console release.

Being built to last seem to

Being built to last seem to pit you against the Computer companies that are always trying to make sure last years model is obsolete as fast as possible. I sat though windows 8 and 8.5 and unlike most of you managed to avoid having my memory of windows 9 erased. But I finally caved in and bought windows 10 while there's still a little life left in the windows 7 I passed on to my kids.

In my experience, built to

In my experience, built to last comes down to heat management and, honestly, quality manufacturers, but heat can ruin well-build components. The hotter you allow your components to get, the less life you will get out of them. Certain companies design their components for better heat management. Just something to take into consideration as you plan your machine.

Noise control and case size were important in the design of my current machines, so I have custom liquid-cooled (CPU and GPU) mini-ITX computers in the BitFenix Prodigy cases. Whisper quiet with most games and at idle, get a little noisier with the ultimate graphics games. But my temps have never gone above 55 c.

Early decisions on what's important to you can help with deciding how to design your computer.
