What I want is an animation that can be used in a number of different attacks.
Like a Giant Fist that falls from the sky to smash a target.
(and an even bigger one for area attacks)
A falling fist with a slow rise and fade away is simple to animate. Scale it up for area affects.
then add the various effects: flame, ice, smoky, electric, or just a texture like granite, or steel.
This would be a great addition to any blaster's repertoire of attacks. It would certainly fit a clerical type with the fist of the deity smashing his mortal enemies. Green lantern types could use this,
Heck I could envision a blaster with a fist emblem where ALL of his attacks would use this animation.
There you are, one animation (when tweaked a bit) fits many different heroes.

I'm sure it will come, and I'm sure that there will be more items than just a fist to select from. Of course, we would need several styles of each item for these animations.

I would request a giant duck. To fill out my duck blasters repertoire of attacks. Smashing damage and associated "Quack" sound effects required.

Another game I play, Dofus, actually has two spells that do just that. One is a giant stone fist (Crackler's Punch), the other is a giant mummified fist (Xelor's Fist).

This would also be good for holds as well (a giant hand grabbing a hold of the target). And though I doubt we'd see it ("T" rating), taunts as well (insert favourite rude gesture here, haha).
