Introduction: If anyone finds this Journal and I am deceased or missing, give it to the chief of police. He should know what to do wit hit.
Entry 1: I still can't believe what happened at the precinct. Man, I didn't know Richards would just snap like that the very next day. It was just so sudden. But what would cause him to kill himself in the middle of the precinct? Could have just been the death of his fellow officer, but I am not so sure. After everything that has happened, I knew I had to get on this case. I have all the information currently available on anything that is even remotely connected to Feartopia and his goons. I am going to start on looking at the autopsy of Johnny. Maybe there is still some of what ever drugs made him do what he did.
Entry 2: It took longer then I expected. Thought this would just be a two, maybe three day process. But no, it took two weeks to get information about this toxin. I just don't understand it. We managed to use the blood of Johnny to inject the toxin into some rodents to see if any effect would occur. If nothing happened we would probably never learn anything about this toxin or drug. Thankfully, the rodent started to act bizarre, after we injected Johnny's blood into the rodent multiple times over the course of a few days. I may have not known what was going on. However, the toxin specialist that was with me did. He explained to me that the drug seems to make the target easily scared and as well as extra alert to anything the victim deems terrifying. Which seemed to be everything. He then noted that once the drug is fully ingrained into the victim there is no going back. After a week of the rodent being off of the drug, the rodent would still show signs of being slightly afraid. I then said to him “if that was it?” He said it was, which doesn't make sense. The recording of the interrogation told us its much more then just that. I told the toxin specialist to continue the research and tell me if there is a chance of a cure, or maybe even just a way to reduce the effects. Meanwhile I should look into motive of why Feartopia was stationing his men over in that run down hotel.
Entry 3: Nothing. I have nothing. I asked some officers to help me pick that place clean. Absolutely nothing. Doesn't make sense, there is nothing here except bricks and wood. Unless Feartopia was planning to build a brick house, there is nothing here of value. Maybe its not what was in the house that was value. Maybe its some sort of forward base? That's all I have for now, I am going to ask the officers to patrol around that area and look for anything suspicious
Entry 4: One of the officers that I asked to patrol, Kevin, hasn't informed me of his whereabouts in a few days now. Worried, I asked the other officers if they knew where Kevin was. They informed me that when I called them they were already looking for him. He seemed to have just vanished! Called his family to see if they might shed some light on his absence. They informed me of the street that he was patrolling. It was a good start, I then informed the officers to look there. Meanwhile, I will be looking at a map of the city to see if that street has any relation to the broken down hotel.
Entry 5: They found him. But we were to unfortunately to late. He was dead. What is strange is that there were two marks on his neck within two inches from eachother. With black veins coming from the wound. Strange. Good news is the digging that I did is promising. That street is close to the hotel, the forward base theory might be correct! The forensic team will be working on Kevin's body to see if we can get any other leads, only time will tell. While they are doing that I will go undercover in the street where Kevin died. See if I can find something, I should be extra careful. Don't wont to end up like Kevin.
Entry 6: That was horrifying. Someone was tailing me, I am sure of it! But there is definitely something off in that area. Okay here is what I saw: A man in a trench coat and hat giving orders to a group of ten to thirty people in front of three maybe four vans. Man was around 6ft tall. I couldn't tell what they were saying with all of the rain, but they were standing perfectly still, so doubt it was casual conversation. The group were also in a near perfect line, seemed militaristic, could be some orders. I heard “cave” a lot during the mans orders. If this is in fact Feartopia, or some higher up, the cave might be a base of sorts. Why would he be out in the open like this if it is truly him? I will look at the map of the city again, to see where a cave could possibly be. The man also talked about a prison on multiple occasions, could be where they hold victims. On other notes, there were some fingerprints on Kevin's body and these prints gave us a name of one of the goons. Sean.
Entry 7: This is it! I found the cave! We also managed to capture Sean, who confirmed that cave is the base. It only took a little interrogation and pressuring. We will be assaulting the cave in a few days. We need to stop this man before he kills any more people. Before that we managed to get some more information out of “Onyx Gate” which is what the fear inducing drug is apparently called. Sean told us when he was injected with it he got a good look at the special syringe. It had two containers, one having this green liquid, while the other was pitch black. Onyx Gate seems to need two different injections for the full effect to manifest, which lines up with the marks on Kevin's neck. Which would mean that Kevin got injected with it, but then was killed. We have finally cornered this bastard!
Final Entry: A lot of good men gave their lives yesterday. But with the help from some local heroes we managed to not only destroy Feartopia's base. But we even captured the man himself! He will be sent to the maximum security prison in a week after his short trial. He wont be getting away either, we have some heroes that said they will guard the courthouse just in case he makes a break for it. Base was a god danmed fortress, but we managed. We had hopes that we could find out what exactly makes Onyx Gate somewhere in this base. However, they seemed to have torched everything in what used to be their lab. There is no possible way anything can be used. One of the officers said that some of these men that were in the base were the missing biologist from a few years back, Feartopia might not be the one who even made Onyx Gate. Danm it! If we only knew, we could know what Onyx Gate was made out of. Oh well, the only thing that matters is that this monster is finally behind bars.
