OK, I am building a ranger (blaster).
I have 5 ranged attacks. can I get animations to make every one utterly different like this
1) Bullets from a hand gun
2) Spit fire like a dragon
3) Ice attack from my shoulder kitty
4) Arrows fly from my hands
5) red Laser from my goggles (ala Cyclops)
see what I did? The firing points are confirmed. But there is NO THEME.
I have bullets, fire, ice, lasers,
Now a gadgeteer can justify all sorts of effects. But I'm a mutant,
Do I get a theme for my various powers like fire? Or is ranged attacks my theme?
Can I go crazy with “Aesthetic Decoupling?”

From what I can tell, All of those should be possible.
Personally wouldn't want to shoot arrows from my Palms.. but Pointy Spikes are Ok. ;)
SideNote:
"But I'm a Mutant".
No no no... Marvel seems to be shifting gears away from Mutants and trying to focus on Inhumans now. Thank Fox for that! >:[
Why not, if we can go far enough, I might be able to create this guy.

The Inhumans are way better than the X-Men anyway... dude that can shatter worlds with his voice is so much cooler than "Bub" Snikt
Revenge is motivation enough. At least it's honest...

From what I have read it sounds like the aesthetic possibilities are set by the damage type or "primary effect" (non-damaging) and possibly any secondary effects, at least in so far as what could cause that kind of "damage" or effect. Non-damaging abilities would most likely have a wider range of options.
When it comes to Alternate Animations for a power, we might see slight variations or limits.
This is just a presumption, but i'm expecting to see a few animation types, depending on the power in question.
Like.. animations that match the Emanation Point or Points, or those that are click on groud to cast AoE types.
And lets not forget the DoT Animation types.
Might be more. ;)
