Still fleshing out.

So, yesterday I went to work, where of course I massacred the targets, and whilst sitting there working my cases, my mind drifts through the superhero genre. I begin to formulate something special.
At this point, I must add, I could have stuck this on the 'ultimate superhero thread'. But I didnt.
Now so far, my main characters (extensions of my own alter ego), tend to be either magic or telekinesis based, or something similar. This is deffinatly on that wavelength. This is my brain, groping towards the final draft, with previous work being but steps along the way. Either that or I'm totally unoriginal.

Then I came home, to discover that there was a massive power cut, half the district was out, and I couldnt write anything down (its about 9:20 pm at that point). Its now 5am. Maybe I'll go fishing?

Where was I, oh yes, superhero.
I dont yet have a name, or a super name, that will come at some point. Because of the origin story, this character does not have to have a secret identity. For now, I'll call him Trevor. The origin story that I'm fleshing out exists as a rememberance from the adult Trevor, its him telling the reader about his youth. Its still a bit disjointed.

Growing up, its just me and mom. Mom told me about my dad, he was tall, strong, wise, even glorious, she said, in a weird way. He told her he was a Titan, and used the word 'Eternal', and that he was called Krios. 'Glorious', lol, thats infatuation for ya. He only stayed 5 days, and I arrived 9 months later.

It was a couple of months past my 13th birthday, the itching started. No, not fleas! Each side of my head, the skin became sore, it itched. Then, then the skin broke. First the left side, and a day later the right. Luckily it was under my hair, because 2 horns were growing from my skull.
Horns! can you believe it? Did I freak out? Well no I didnt. Actually, I thought it was kinda cool, but I did know I had to keep this a secret. Lets face it, we have comics, but mutants and aliens and mythical beings dont actually exist! Well, thats what I thought back then.
So I wore bandanas, and hats, and grew my hair out. I'm surprised I kept it hidden for so long, but after about a year, well, the horns were getting a bit big. I decided to just go public. One morning I cut my own hair in the mirror, left the hat on the shelf, and proudly walked to school...adolescant rams horns sticking out for all to see.

I got a few gasps and surprised looks, but it was also near Samhain, sorry Halloween, and I guess they all thought I was playing some game. First class of the day, and my English teacher said, as I walked into class "Take the toy horns off, Trevor".
"I cant miss".
She grasped one and pulled, jerking my head to one side. I pulled back and yelled "They're real you idiot". She withdrew her hand as if she'd been bitten, haha. She said "What ARE you". With extreme nonchalance I replied "Not all human", and took my seat, before adding "What, I'm still a student here right?".
Well, first break of the day, teachers running around like blue arsed flies, no doubt phoning my mom, and the police, and gods knows what, and I meet up with my main pals. Jimmie the rascal, always looking for unattended stuff to acquire, his brother Joe, the brain, and kelly, born comedienne, funniest girl I ever met.
"They're REAL? this isnt some joke", this was Jimmie. "Of course they're real, had em about a year". Joe tried to lift my hair up to get a better look, I waved him off.
"Got anything else" said Kelly, "Like 2 dicks or something". We all laughed at that one. "No", I said, "just the horns, but...".
"But what?" asked Joe.
"I aint eaten in months, dont need to. And more, I think I can survive anywhere, and, well, I heal, like, fast".
Jimmie pipped up, "Internal life support with regeneration", then beamed at Joe.
"I knew you'd been in my room"! exclaimed joe.
"Well I was just reading your nerd gamer books" replied Jimmie.
"Yes", I threw in quickly, "Internal life support with regeneration. Got your knife Jimmie?"
Jimmie pulled out his lock knife, and I held out my arm.
"Do it", I urged.
He placed the blade against my skin, and looked at me "you sure mate". "Yeah", I added.
He pulled the plade across the skin, gently at first, friends dont really want to hurt each other, then slightly harder.
A thin line of red appeared, then vanished, then there was a moment of scaring, then even the scar vanished.
"Wow", said Joe, "So what if punched you in the face?"
"Well first of all, I'd kick you in the balls, and then I guess, I'd have a bruise for a few seconds, then I'd be okay".
"How do you know about the survive anywhere thing", asked Kelly.
"Well I can breathe underwater, and in space, and I walked across that active volcano in Iceland".
There was a moments silence, before Jimmie said what everyone was thinking.
"You fucking what"?
"It was dark, nobody saw me fly there".
"YOU FUCKING WHAT"?
"Okay, one other thing", I was grinning from ear to ear, "okay, stand back".
Of course, they didnt move an inch. I shrugged, and focused, and my entire body was surrounded in a purple aura.
"I think its called telekinesis".
"Its called painting a target on your chest", said Kelly.
"Yeah, but nothing can get through it, it allows me to fly, and, well, it acts like extra muscle. I just cant use it at range, well their are moments, but its not really controlled".

The next few days were weird. A couple of doctors came to see me, and a few cops, and a priest. I just went purple and refused to co-operate, it was kinda funny.

Five days after 'the big reveal', my world crashed. My three friends were round, playing Hogs of War, hay, its retro! Mom was making sandwiches, and stressing out. Outside, a religious group had turned up. a Baptist group from a few towns over, with placards. Usually its "God hates fags", now it was "Devil boy out". They were shouting songs about my mom fornicating with demons, stuff like that. I wanted to go out and punch their teeth in, mom stopped me.
Two petrol bombs came threw the window, one burst right between my friends, the other in the kitchen.
I walked out, alive, unharmed.
A week later I stood outside their land, I could rip that fence down, walk in, and kill them all. I stood there shaking with anger. Then I just walked away. I'm not that person.

They wanted to put me in some kind of kids home, well, I was only 14. I just walked away, they couldnt stop me.
I've been walking ever since. I usually wear a hood, of course, big jacket, big hood. The rams horns are fairly large. I try to help, where I can. Some places they shout and try to chase me away, then I just walk away. Some places I am welcomed. I kept on walking.
"I just walked away". I keep saying that, dont I. I guess I blamed myself.

I'm back home now. I have no limits, and I have a job to do.

Powers
Passive : Internal life support and Regeneration
Activate : Contact telekinesis. Allows Invulnerability, Flight, and Super strength.

Trevor has lifted everything he's tried to lift, it is not known if there is a limit to his telekinetic strength. Likewise, the invulnerability seams 100%, at least to all physical forces and psionics. It may be less effective to other forms of energy. He can fly 30% C in an atmosphere, reaching hyperspace speeds in space. Any method of travelling he calls 'walking'.

Real Name : Terry Bradbury

Real Name : Terry Bradbury
Code Name : Outsider

Terry is a quiet man, some say sullen or brooding. He has spent years 'walking' the earth, and other planets. For Terry, 'walking' includes any type of travel under his own power.
He is mainly incapable of vengeance, and while he can fight, he wont kill. Although he can at times be driven by anger, such rage runs counter to his upbringing. He will always resist doing any more harm than is necessary to subdue a villain. Terry prefers to use his strength in positive ways, and has helped build many schools and hospitals in poor regions. Terry has a big heart, he cant resist stopping to help those in need, but once done, he always moved on.
Terry has finally returned home to England, and has settled down.
Terry never finished his formal schooling, leaving part way through his 14th year. School studies are thus at a basic level, this includes maths, english, science, electronics, metalwork, and woodwork. However, due to his travels, his hystory and geography are at a high level, and he has a decent understanding of 2 dozen languages, with passing familarity with many other tongues and dialects. He has no actual qualifications.
He has picked up the basics of a few fighting techniques on his travels, but is no expert.

From the travels of The

From the travels of The Outsider.

Terry stepped from the forest onto the edge of the farmlands. He had walked from the mountains, and was looking for a river, which would undoubtedly take him to civilisation. He had stumbled onto a village. After weeks in the wilds, he longed for a nice bed, and maybe some alcohol. Although he didnt need to eat, he would enjoy a decent meal.
Terry navigated his way around the fields of crops, noting villagers in rags. Scrawny individuals, thin, emasculated. The farmland was extensive. As he reached the settlement of huts, he noted the cliff-face, and the natives working them, bringing forth carts of ore. Terry's heart sank, as he reached the village proper, and saw the boats on the river unload their catches of fish. The people were all skinny, starving, diseased, and dressed in the remains of what was once clothing.

This village should be affluent.

Being the only white man, in a region that had probably never seen one, he was expecting a reaction, but not the one he recieved. The people reacted with fear, they shy'd away from him, almost grovelling. He pulled the hood up tighter around his head, carefull not to reveal his horns, and searched for the largest house he could find.

It wasnt hard to find. At least four times bigger than the other huts. The villagers seamed to avoid it, or approach it fearfully if they had need.
Terry walked forward and up the five steps, onto the platform of the hut, pushed woven door aside, and stepped inside. He was greeted with the sight of a long hall, lit by burning torches, and at the far side, on a seat of gold (no less), sat a woman. A white woman with long red hair. She was about 30 foot away.
"A new worshiper"?
Terry paused for a second. He really was'nt expecting this.
"And who should I be worshipping"?
The woman sat up straight. "I am Hecate, witchqueen, mistress of magick".
"No, you're not", replied terry, "I know of Hecate, I've walked the world, and you're not her".
The red haired women stood bolt upright, raised her hands, and spoke a few words under her breath. Immediatly, a stream of lightning erupted from her fingertips. Terry had but a moment to react.
He went purple. The lightning hit his form, and he felt it not. Terry smiled.
Casually, he threw back the hood of his jacket, to reveal his form.
"I AM THE SON OF A TITAN, AND YOU ARE NO DEITY".
In a flash, he flew foward, and grabbed her by the neck, her eyes went wide, and then Terry changed direction. He flew straight up, the hut broke over his armored form, and he headed for the sky, with the red heaired woman still in his grasp. Higher and higher he flew, lightning dancing around his form without effect. Soon, the air grew cold, and the air grew thin.
"Soon you will pass out, and when I reach space., you're going to die".
"No, I'm sorry, no".
Terry wrapped one arm around her waist, partly to make sure she wouldnt fall, and partly because, well, she was an attractive woman, and he was still a teenager.
"Then tell me why you did it". Terry paused in the air.
"They worshiped me, I had everything I wanted".
"Did you look at them, even once", replied Terry, "they were starving, ill, in rags, whats were you thinking"?
"They're unevolved, not real people".
Terry brimmed with anger, absolute rage and fury washed through him.
"We're all people", he spat the words in her face, as he sped down towards the ground, holding the woman infront of him, "you dare call youself Hecate"!
Her eyes were wide with terror, she was in the hands of a Titan, the son of a god, a real GOD, and he was about to crush her into the Earth.
"No, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry".
Terry stopped, about 4 foot above the ground.
"We are all people",he said, quietly, one last time.
Terry dropped the woman back in the middle of the village, and looked around at the villagers. He addressed them in their language.
"She is not a goddess, she is person, like any of you, just skilled in magic. You have guns, and bows, and darts, and spears".
Terry added, "Her power is not greater than yours".
An old woman of the village stepped forward.
"The youngsters may want to kill her, and worse before that. Why have you saved her"?
"Because", replied terry, "This could be a rich village, she could help you trade with the cities".
"Besides", he added, "You could teach her, you could show her, make her know that you are as wise as any in the world".
Terry turned to the fallen woman, who would have been a goddess. "I'll be back, to see what you'be become".

The next day, after a hearty meal and a night of drinking, Terry, The Outsider, walked away from the village. For a brief moment the tripple faced image of a goddess appeared behind him, whispered "thank you", and then vanished.

Any feedback welcome.
Also, half way through the story i realised that it could have sounded patronising, thats not my intent.

From the travels of The Outsider.

It took a little searching, but after watching for trafic, Terry located the space station. This was the research station orbiting the red hypergiant in the constellation Canis Major, the star VY Canis Majoris. The station itself was the size of a large city, and was overcrowded. Approximatly half if the inhabitants are the green skinned humanoids of the Antares system, with the other half being a mix of a million different species. Over 8 million people lived and worked on the station, in a mixture of science labs, refineries, shops, etc, from high class restaurants, to crime driven slum bars.
Terry 'landed' on one of the docking ports, and was met by a security officer.
"Business or pleasure"?
"Pleasure", replied Terry.
The guard looked him up and down, and sighed.
"Do you have any currency"?
"No", said Terry, "But I'm willing to work".
The guard pulled out a touch screen pad, and and flicked through a few screens.
"Skills"?
"Unlimited strength and durability".
The guard lowered the pad and looked Terry in the eyes.
"Really? Unlimited, you're kidding me".
"I'm not joking", Terry kept his voice impassive.
At this point, another alien walked over, dressed in overalls and with a collection of tools hanging from various pockets.
"Did I just hear right, you can lift anything, and you cant get hurt"?
"Thats right".
"Man, you might just save us a million credits, please, follow me".
Half an hour later, they were standing in another dock, looking at a broken workhorse of a spaceship.
"This is Bessie, and she's wrecked. We needed her to place a new stabaliser on the station hull, and its urgent. We were going to have to hire another ship just for this job, but with you here, and if you can do what you say, well".
"No problem, wheres the stabaliser".
The engineer pointed to, what looked like, a rocket engine. It was bigger than the broken spaceship.
"And where do you want it".
Plans were produced, showing the hull of the station. The engineer beckened a work crew of four over, each in the process of getting suited up for space work.
They'll point you in the right direction, and help guide the stabaliser to the exact spot. At this point, we'll activate the magnetic clamps, and begin bolting it in place.

Another half an hour later, and Terry had completed the job, saving the station a massive amount of money, and time. In his pocket was a brand new credit chip, containing enough funds to allow him to party here for the next thousand years.
Terry smiled, it was going to be a good weekend.

Part 2

Part 2

Terry made his way down the corridor, lights flickered, and shadows danced. He should have been drunk, as was the woman on his arm, but his natural regeneration had destroyed all traces of alcoholic toxins in his body as he had walked from the bar.
"Can I hold on to your horns"? asked the green skinned female, almost stumbling over.
"In just a minute", said Terry, almost laughing.
He stopped, and pulled the girl to a halt beside him. Terry could see the door to his quarters, and the door was ajar.
"You have to go, its not safe".
She followed his gaze and said but one word "damn", before backing away the way they had came. Once Terry was sure she was gone, he walked forward and pushed his door fully open. Inside, a figure sat in a chair, facing the door. in one hand it held a short rod with a button on top.
"I've been waiting for you, Terry, Outsider".
Terry didnt answer, but rather walked to a desk and pulled out the chair, and placed it between the intruder and the door. He took his seat and stared into the intruders eyes.
They sat in silence for a minute, before the intruder spoke again.
"My master has a request of you, we need you to kill the royal family of a certain planet"
"And if I refuse"?
"Then I press this button, and the explosive charges we have placed around this station detonate".
"So"?
"So you, and I, and over 8 million people will die".
"I wont die".
"Not even you can withstand this explosion, much less when the wreckage falls into the nearby star".
"You know the recent supernova in Andromeda, I was there, and I'm still here". Terry allowed himself to smirk at the intruder, who now looked unsettled.
"Still, 8 million people will die, do you want that on your conscience"?
"Its your fingers on the button, not mine".
"By your choice, they will all die".
"Its your fingers on the button, not mine".
Again, they sat in silence, this time, it was Terry that spoke up.
"Do you think I'm going to blink? I will not be blackmailed".
"I see"...
The intruder was half way through the word 'see', then Terry acted. Faster than light, Terry grasped the intruders hand within one of his own, and with his other hand, he took the mans thumb, and snapped it off. A scream pierced the room. A few seconds later, the intruder made to press the button with his free hand, and instantly, terry had a grasp on that wrist.
Terry stood facing the intruder, a firm hold on each of the mans arms. With another smirk, Terry pushed his head forward, butting the intruder in he face, breaking his nose and knocking him out cold.
Terry carefully took the device from the intruders hand, then walked over to a console on the wall beside the door, and pressed the buttons to call for security. A fizzing sound made Terry turn to where he had left the intruder on the floor, as it disloved into nothingness.

Security came, and went. The device was found to be a dud, and security sweeps found no hidden explosives.
Terry wondered if he had been tested, and if so, had he passed, or failed.

From the travels of The

From the travels of The Outsider

It had been 6 years since that night on the space station, and Terry was now 24 years old. He had finally tracked the intruder down to a quiet world in a far off galaxy. They called him Stigius, and he was capable of disolving his body into the astral plane, he was also very, very, tough. Stigius had, as Terry had learned, amased a vast amount of wealth and material power through murder and corruption, and had been responsible for the extinction of at least 2 civilisations, as well as countless billions of other lives.
Terry floated in the air, glowing purple, face to face with his quary. This time, he would not escape.
"Do you think you can end me, boy?", asked Stigius mockingly, "I can outfight your meagre skills, and melt away before you can touch me".
Terry said but 2 words.
"Fussion Punch".
Before Stigius could ask 'whats that', Terry threw a punch, with all the speed and force he could muster.
Stigius never saw it coming.
Terry's fist moved a fraction faster than the speed of light. Twenty ounces of flesh and bone wrapped in telekinetic force crashed forward, and as it did, gravity warped in its wake.
Imagine, Two hundred thousand million million joules of energy being released in one instant. The elements of the air split apart and colided into new forms as the force of the blow shattered them before they could be pushed out of the way. Protons and Neutrons splintered into quarks, and they too disloved into fundamental forces. Radiation burst forward across the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
Stigius was atomised, and then those atoms, shredded.
Terry was about to breath a sigh of relief, it was over. But the explosion did not stop.
It was like three thousand Hiroshima bombs going off in one place, in a burst of heat over eighty trillion kelvin. Everything within 500 meters was vapourised, and a firestorm raged for another 5 km around that. Very little was left standing within 50 km.
Terry looked down at the melted ruins of the once great city below him, and wept.

Terry hung in the air, as he felt a presence behind him. He didnt need to look, he knew it was family, Hecate was there.
The titan goddess was stern, and sad.
"You have commited a great crime today, one you will have to live with, it will not be easy".
"I know". It was all Terry could say.
"We have a curse for you, it may aid you, though it may be too much for you to bear".
"I will accept it".
Terry felt the hand of the goddess on his shoulder for a second, then she was gone. In her place, new sensations washed over him.
Terry could feel the catastrophe he had wrought, he could sense it, and with it, he could feel the injustice in all those who had lost loved ones in the inferno below.

For 1 year, Terry hung in the air, filled with the sorrows of what he had done, as the feelings of injustice and catastrophe washed through him from the planet below. At times he cried uncontrolably, other times, he mearly watched. Then, after 1 year, he left. Terry knew he could never make amends for what he had done, but he resolved to spend the rest of his life paying back the universe.

He would be a better man.

I noticed the similarities. They were very insightful, and helped make Terry seem much more realistic, especially considering that Vsauce3 and friends actually compute the physics behind stuff to get the theoretical results.

Mind you, it solves the "who would win between Superman and Batman" debate.
Sups just has to get within a few miles of Bats, then clap his hands.

Terry's corpse lay splayed

Terry's corpse lay splayed out across the asteroid, blood was splattered across dozens of meters, while shards of broken bone and ripped flesh jutted out from the rocks.
Somewhere in the remains, a few cells still lived, and they drew together. It took many hours, but they began to reanimate, or rebuild, their nearest neighbors. Bit by bit, organs where reassembled, connected together, and made to function. The Brain came alive, and internally, Terry screamed. An hour later, his throat was repaired, and after that, all the raw nerves in his spine mended. Finally, Terry was able to stand.
From his place on the asteroid, he could see Renders Moon. Renders moon is a miscreants heavan. Frequented by pirates, thieves, mercanaries, brigands, and bandits; Terry had gone there to arrest a murderer known as Mako. It turned out that Mako had a mutated power to summon the chaotic forces of pandomonium, and Terry had overestimated his own defences. Although he could move at the speed of light, his perceptions where still human, and Mako had simply beaten him to the draw.
The chaos bolt had cut through his telekinetic force field as if it didnt exist, and had blasted his body across space, where it had impacted with this very asteroid.

Terry concidered his options. He could simply fly at the asteroid at the speed of light. He would hit with with enough force to generate nuclear fusion on a tremendous level, blowing the moon to smithereens, and killing Mako, and every other rogue there. However, that would be simple murder, and Terry was no murderer. Further, it is likely that not all of the inhabitants of Renders Moon where criminal, or even there of their own will, and maybe even some of villains could change their ways.
Another concern played on Terry's mind. Mako had already defeated him, and while he was not afraid of another confrontation, and with the knowledge that he could obliterate Mako with ease, his sense of honour held him back. Mako had won this day, so he would give him this day.

Terry turned and flew away from Renders Moon. He would watch the news feeds, he would be paying attention.
The next time Mako commited a crime, the Outsider would have him.

And now he can fart daffodils

And now he can fart daffodils.

*joking*

Okay, I actually had a dream about Terry last night, in it, he came to Earth, and was attacked by the Justice League (even though Terry is more of a Marvel character), well you know how it goes, Hero's meet up for the first time, they have to fight, its in the rules.
Anyway, Terry pulverised them, using a hand clap to generate a shockwave to knock out Batman and a few other weaker members, before punching the others down, generally employing his super speed and great defences. The battle ended with Terry knocking Superman into the ground, and with supes out cold, Terry began to build up a ball of telekinetic energy to THROW at the man of steel. Wonder woman covered supes and begged Terry to stop, and seeing that the JL were capable of self sacrifice, terry stopped his attack, and they all made friends. Give the win to Wonder Woman.
The point is, generating a ball of telekinetic power as a missle weapon, or just using his telekinetic field to project blasts from his hands, is a new power.
Part of me thinks "This makes the character complete". Another part of me thinks "its too much".

Terry has internal life support and regeneration.
He can detect catastrophe and injustice.
His telekinetic force field allows flight, invulnerability, and super strength.

I'm picturing the ability to fire blasts of kinetic energy at a moderate level, which can be built up if he takes longer to generate the blast.
Would this ranged attack/ability be too much?

To give my honest, personal

To give my honest, personal opinion, I feel like this character in general might turn out to be a bit too much.

They might work out okay for a solo-story or something along those lines, but in a collaborative environment, chances are you would have a very hard time making this character interact with other characters and various situations very well. The reason for that, although it might not be what you wanted to hear, is that he's really just too powerful across the board.

There's nothing particularly wrong with powerful characters, but the thing is that having characters that are that powerful rarely make for interesting stories in collaborative settings, unless everyone is that powerful. The situations that other player-characters are going to get into are most likely going to be far below his level, and nothing would be fun about having one character punch through the whole scenario and leaving the others behind. Part of the goal when it comes to telling a good story is to make sure that every character has a reasonable place in it; if you drop the sort of character that you've built into most of the stories that others are going to tell, your character is going to overwhelm theirs to the point where they become irrelevant.

The other problem (which is arguable, I will concede such) is that ultra-powerful characters do not lend much in regards to dramatic tension. There is nothing that someone with infinite strength cannot break, lift, or punch, and there is nothing that someone with infinite durability cannot withstand. Someone watching this character won't be excited and gripped by the uncertainty that a dangerous situation presents, since they know that due to their powerset, there is no way for them to lose. Even when you've watched a movie or read a book before, the reason why it can be exciting multiple times is because you can still derive a thrill from knowing that characters in the story are doing something dangerous, even if you know how it's going to end. When a character cannot be beaten due to their concept itself, this thrill is lost. In addition to this, if you're all-powerful all the time, then you can't have any of those exciting moments where a character pushes themselves beyond their limits, and manages to do something ultra heroic. There would be no ups and downs.

I suppose all of this could simply come across as me saying that you should dumb-down your concept a bit, which, although it's a lot more blunt than what I was hoping to say, is still an action that I would agree with. As things stand currently, there is no real way for this character to interact with others in many situations without making them irrelevant to a story. In closing, it also might be worth noting that in comics, even the god-like (Jean Grey, Galactus) and actual gods (Thor, Ares), are still not omnipotent.

Well I do understand what you

Well I do understand what you are saying, heck, I even agree with it, but one defence I will add : Superman.

I wanted to develope a character organically, with story telling, and make it 'that' epic. There are similarities. The regeneration/life support, super senses, and strength/durability/flight/speed, and finally, ranged attack. In some ways, Terry is far stronger and more durable than supes, but in other ways he is more vulnerable. The telekinetic aura protects him from any physical (and most energy) forces, but against psychic or dimensional powers? I already wrote in the story of him being defeated by such attacks.

And I do agree with you. Supes is one of my least favourite heroes because of his overpowered nature, and in much of the JL cartoons, he as treated as reinforcements to compensate for this, but then he also had some epic storylines.

But then again, Terry is not written as a group character, he is a loner/traveller, like the old 'Incredible Hulk' series, you see him wandering from town to town (or world to world).
As for a group hero, well, thats Mystik :-)

That's why I said he might

That's why I said he might work a little better in a solo story. If you're planning on RPing this character with other people, then my point was that you might have a hard time.

Terry cautiously entered the

Terry cautiously entered the back alley, from street level, on foot no less. Before him he could see two of his allies, and a door ajar.
Their names, White Lightning and Fire Blast. White Lightning had super speed and could cover his body in electricity, while Fire Blast had ranged fire generation powers. The 2 of them had been a team for a few years now, and were almost comic relief in the cities superhero community. They both lay dead.
News had been spreading, a super powered villain that could drain the powers and life force out of a mutate or supernatural being. Somebody struck on the unoriginal idea of calling it Alucard, and the name had stuck. Terry could feel it, the creature was somewhere beyond the door.
He walked carefully through the door. He was on the ground level of a warehouse, side entrance. Massive shelving units filled the floor, while a raised office area was on the wall to his right side. On his left side wall, some distance away, was three sets of truck size doors, locked. Cobwebs covered the corners of the huge building, and a thick layer of dust had settled on all the surfaces. Nobody had used this area for a long time.
Nobody, except, for the single set of footsteps in the dust, leading up the staircase into the raised office.
This, thought Terry, was too easy. The trail of breadcrumbs was too thick. This 'power vampire' obviously wanted him to follow.
Terry looked at the wall, and counted the support columns on the office wall, both vertically and horizontally, then left the building, and made his way around the outside.
Locating the correct spot, Terry went purple, then flew forward at twice the speed of sound.
The wall crashed apart around him, there was a momentary scream of surprise, and then his vision was filled with dust and plaster.
Before his sight could clear, Terry felt the force hit him, the vampire had survived.
He could feel his telekinesis breaking apart in motes, finally he could see his target, not more than 60 meters away amongst shattered metal and brick on the warehouse floor. Terry's power was flowing from him. He tried to move, but his legs were like lead, he dropped to one knee. It took all of his effort, but Terry managed to raise one arm, a tunnel was forming in his mind, as if his power was getting further and further away. He reached out, trying to see himself reaching through his minds eye, and then, something shattered.
A barrier in Terry's mind gave way.
A kinetic blast blew out from Terry's outstretched hand, blowing the head off 'Alucard' the power vampire.
The robot, fell to the ground.
For a moment, Terry was dumbstruck. The thing was a robot...
"W.T.F." he said out loud, before a mechanical voice from the robots headless body reported "This unit will self destruct in 5, 4, 3".
Terry didnt wait for 2. He went purple and flew high and fast. 2 moments later, and the warehouse was gone in a ball of flame.
Terry hung in the air, a small portion of his power was gone, although he was now maybe more versatile.
This didnt bother him, what mattered now, is who had built Alucard.
And why.

Several weeks had passed

Several weeks had passed since the Alucard robot had been destroyed, and Terry had been under almost constant attack. Whoever had built the robot had been busy, the humanoid form had been replaced by a more practical sphere, with an indented section for generating the life-draining beam attack, like a miniature death-star. The robots no longer spoke, or pretended to be human in any way, they only sought to kill mutant and supernatural beings.
Terry, was apparently their prime target.
For his part, Terry's power had been drained significantly. A few hits had caught him unaware and lowered his cellular regeneration and enhanced senses, but for the most part, his telekinesis had taken the hits. His defensive aura, flight speed, and repulsive power had been greatly lowered.
On the plus side, Terry had learned to use his telekinesis at range, though it was still but a repulsive force, firing blasts from his hands.

Terry hovered, about 100 meters from the office block, many windows were open, or broken, and spheres were pouring out of them. Terry picked them off one by one with ranged blasts, exploding shards of metal and plastic across the sky. Once in a while, a bolt would hit him, and terry could feel his power dropping a tiny fraction each time.
He knew that this couldnt go on.
Focusing for a moment, Terry fired a wide cone of energy forward. The spheres where all knocked back, and he flew forward. He picked them off as he neared, until he was in the building, and there, taking up the entire floor, was a massive teleport pad. Spheres where still streaming out of it.
Holding his hands forward, and firing waves of concussive telekinesis, Terry made it onto the pad. Then the world changed.
He was obviously underground, or at least within a massive dome like cave. Work benches and computer banks surrounded the outer wall at 'ground' level, while another machine sat alone in the middle of the cavern, beside it, a middle aged man, with greying hair and spectacles, worked furiously at the controls. Out of this machine poured the life draining spheres. Terry took three substantial hits as he took in his surroundings, he felt his telekinesis fall further, and for a brief moment a searing pain on his head.
With everything he had left, Terry began firing telekinetic bolts forward, one by one the spheres disintegrated, and then, with a final push, Terry fired directly into the the great machine, and blew it apart.
Immediatly, a computer station on the outer wall exploded, as a chain reaction began to take effect. The grey man began to get to his feet, parts of his spheres, machinery, and electronics had been blasted into his body. He must have been in agony, and his face contorted, maybe in pain or anger, but then he started laughing madly.
A crack, opened up in the dome of the cave, rock and dirt crashed down to the floor.
"come with me, I can help you", yelled Terry, but the grey man just sat down and continued laughing.
As Terry watched, a massive section of ceiling cracked open, and he was forced to back away. Terry backed onto the teleport pad, and was gone.
Terry arrived back in the city tower block, and half a second later, the hum of the teleport pad died. The connection was obviously broken.

Terry wandered the city for awhile, it seamed obvious that the cave had collapsed, and the grey man who had engineered the machines was probably dead in the middle of it. However, it was not a certainty, there was a slim chance that the crazy man, whoever he was, may have survived. Terry had lost most of his power, though considering that his telekinesis had had almost no limits, even the small fraction that remained was still alot.
Terry passed a shop window, and by chance glanced in. What he saw made him stop in utter shock. He thought back to the attacks in the cave, and the pain he had felt.
His horns where gone. Terry Bradbury, The Outsider, could finally live a normal life.

Terry Bradbury, aka, The Outsider.

Passive Powers
Cellular Regeneration.
Every living cell in his body generates a psionic field, the primary use of this is to rebuild and sustain themselves and their nearest neighbors. Terry can survive in almost any environment, from deep space, to close proximity to a star. He does not need to eat, drink, or breathe, and is resistant to radiation and toxins. He does not age, and heals quickly. This power is generally environmental, it does not protect from direct attacks, and the healing may take many hours to recover serious injury.
(Mid level 'Internal life support', low level 'regeneration', and eternal youth)

Active Powers
Repulsive Telekinesis.
The psionic field emitted from his cells, flows through his will power. This power can generate as a limited form of telekinesis, the limit being that it is purely repulsive. Activating this power grants Terry a purple aura. This gives a defensive field, flight, feats of super strength, and the ability to fire telekinetic force bolts. There is no fine control to these powers, it is simply a raw kinetic energy 'push'. Power feats are in the 84 to 99 ton range (81+3D6), in earths atmosphere he can reach speeds close to mach 9. He could reach much faster speeds in space, but it may take him many hours to build up to light speed (and hours to slow down again).

Sensory Powers
While telekinetic field is active, he can detect catastrophe on the scale of a state or small country, and can detect injustice in city range.

In a large room, a horned man

In a large room, a horned man lay bolted unconscious to a wall by thick metal bars, while scientists, engineers, and technicians busied themselves around tables and computer terminals. Many side rooms ran off from the main study, each housing scientists running various biological experiments.
Terry had been asleep for a very long time.
Two scientists in particular sat at a bench to one side, the younger one looked up nervously.
"He gives me the creeps".
"Who, sleeping beauty"?
"Yeah, what is his story anyway"?
"He was a superhero or something, long ago. Got captured by a guy called the power thief"
"We're holding one of the good guys"?
"I guess so, apparently, this power thief guy was a cyborg, he could drain others powers. He crept up on sleeping beauty up there in his sleep, and jabbed a sleeper chip in his skull while giving him a great big blast of power drain, then, well, wheeled him in to the authorities in return for amnesty".
"Yeah, but he's a hero right"?
"Didnt matter, they wanted his genetic information more".
The younger scientist looked around the room, and over all the power cables running up to the wall.
"So how come we need all this".?
"Ah, well about 40 yeas after he was brought in, the power thief died, then all that power went back to its origins, those that still lived anyway"
"So this Terry guy got a power boost, or got his power levels back".
"And then some, he has mid level cellular regeneration, ha, and god level telekinesis. We don't want him waking up".
"So this is all to keep him asleep".
"Yeah".
In that moment, the lights dimmed, just a tiny fraction, and for only 1 second. Nobody even noticed.
Terry's eyelids fluttered, in that moment.
It had happened before. Terry had been asleep for a long time, and the generators that kept the base alive where old.
A few minutes later, the generators dropped output by 1.5%, for only a second, and again, nobody noticed.
Terry's left hand twitched.
An hour later, and it happened again.
Something in Terry's brain caught the change, and held on. In the dream, another fraction of the Outsiders mind woke up, and joined with the rest.
Terry had been asleep for a long, long time.

Days came and went, biologists took blood samples, technicians came and went, and piece by piece, Terry woke up within the dream.
And all of a sudden, he was self aware, again. His body still slept, but Terry was awake, he knew his situation. He could feel the chip in his brain keeping the greater part of his mind and all of his body in stasis. He accessed a tiny fraction of his telekinesis, and began to push. He wanted to scream, the pain was unbearable, and he realized he couldn't be delicate about this. He simply grabbed the chip with his kinesis, and pushed hard.
It exploded through skull and shot on pieces across the room. Alarms sounded.
Terry, finally, opened his eyes.
He was bolted naked to a wall, held in place by steel bars. His horns had returned, and he could feel his power, his telekinesis was back to his original levels and complete, both close and long range. Already his skull was repairing the damage. Terry went purple as the scientists stared up at him in horror. As he did so, he could feel their injustice, they where scared, all of them, had taken the easy job of watching an innocent prisoner, conducted experiments on him, and now thought it unfair that they might die in HIS anger.
He popped the metal constraints like cheese string and stepped off the wall. He walked to a nearby table and picked up a newspaper.
It was the Forth of July, 2257. With an ironic grin, he noticed the American flag on the opposite wall.
"Independence day"...
"I will free you all".
Without warning, Terry brought his hands together in a clap, at slight higher than the speed of light. Atoms crashed though atoms, quarks smashed through protons, and nuclear fusion erupted into a nuclear inferno. The firestorm vaporized everything within 5km, and pretty much demolished everything within 50 km. Terry felt a moment of DejaVu, and for a second Hecate appeared behind him, and then faded away.
Terry knew that a pact had been broken, and he felt his gift, his curse from the gods leave him. He could no longer sense injustice or catastrophe.
He no longer cared.
Terry flew upwards, high above America. then he rested and considered. What about his loved ones, what about the other heroes of his day, those in the government. Nobody had looked for him, nobody had checked, people MUST have known. Nobody had cared.

He picked his first target. New York. He reached out his Telekinesis and took hold of the city, and as simple as tensing a bicep, he pulled the city from the ground and hurled it at 8000 miles per hour towards the sun.

Without a pause, he turned back, and picked his next target...

*well, its been a few days since Terry went insane (ish), and nobody has stepped up to stop him, you've all had your chance*
*I was sort of hoping for a concerted role playing effort, using your characters powers and tactics, to end the destruction of America*
*too late, onto stage two*

The north American landmass was devastated, every city had been thrown into space, or thrown onto other cities, only a few people were left alive in rural areas.
Terry was not finished. He flew over to The Himalayas and picked up Mount Everest, and with the utmost care, threw it at Paris.
The Europe-Asian continent would be the next to fall.

*If nobody steps up in the next few days, the Australian continent and surrounding island communities are next*

*Oh I am disappointed, haha, of course there is no obligation for anyone to join in, but with a forum full of superhero's (and villains that wont want somebody ELSE to destroy their world), I would have thought somebody would step up.*
*Well, its all over but the shouting.*

A cataclysm was raging around the world, not least from the explosion of Everest hitting Paris. Terry had just pushed Australia under the waves, and the resulting tsunami's would probably take out both South America and Africa, that's if the tectonic turmoil didn't destroy the planet first.
With a grin, and a decent measure of boredom, Terry focused on the core of the planet, and pushed towards the sun.

The end.

Of Earth.
