Raupya Veil

Name: Sannit Rajannah

Gender: F

Nationality: Indian/mixed (claims to be the only child of a South African engineer and a Punjabi doctor)

Age: Unknown, presumed mid-30s.

Height: 5'7"

Weight ca: 130

Hair: Silver-grey. (natural?)

Eyes: Black

Build: Statuesque

Occupation: unknown. Claims to be a corporate consultant, but will not discuss clients, citing confidentiality/proprietary information.

Known Associates: No regular associates or relationships on file. Seen in public with a wide variety of people of both genders from the artistic and high-society segments of the population.

Description: Soft-spoken, generally well-mannered, always exceptionally well-dressed. Shows the public the face of a cultured, educated aesthete/sensualist; some scattered reports describe her as 'intimidating'. Independently wealthy. Seemingly highly intelligent, but somewhat withdrawn. Describes herself as a "static genius"; highly able, but lacking much drive, so usually accomplishing little.

[This is Sannit's third incarnation. In CoX, as Protocol Scylla (Widow Claws build), she was a bio-engineered corporate bodyguard/assassin- the mind of a more than slightly insane Mossad agent transplanted into an upgraded body. She was fanatically loyal to the twins who ran the company, hypersexual, brilliant, but usually extremely lazy unless engaged in acts of planned, controlled violence.

In Champions Online, she is again an engineered assassin, but one working to preserve the balance of power; she takes only very specific contracts, almost always political leaders who are behaving in threatening or destabilizing ways.

Here, she is something of a pulp-style antihero, in the vein of Ozymandias from Watchmen, or Ra's al Ghul: brilliant (though still catlike and lazy), physically superior through both birth and training, and at times horrendously violent. By certain specific definitions, she is assuredly a sociopath, but one with a conscience, albeit oddly-developed, and a heart- of sorts.

Her nickname, which she did not choose, comes from the same root word as 'rupee', in this case meaning 'made of silver', and is a pun both on her wealth and her hair, which is a natural mutation possibly related to her enhanced reflexes and strength.]

To give some idea of how

To give some idea of how Sannit's mind works, here are a few of her favorite sayings:

"Death, like love, is an incredibly intimate event. If you are to receive the gift of another's death then, like their love, it's best done face-to-face, hand-to-hand, body-to-body. Death from a distance is like trying to kiss through a glass wall."

"'Do as thou wilt' IS the whole of the Law- but it applies to everyone else, as well. So be careful what you do to whom, and be prepared for the consequences."

"Being willing to kill for your goals but not die for them makes one a monster. Being willing to die for them but not kill makes one a fool."

"The greatest monster in creation is the person whose illusions about him or herself are taken for truth."

"Life is one long, complicated joke. Death is the punchline. Neither works without the other."

"What you do at any given time is far less important than knowing why you are doing it."

"Everyone has the right to not be tomorrow what they are today. We each also have the right to hate one another for it."

"One death may be a tool, several a lesson. Too many, however, is a waste- the dead do not serve, and they cannot learn."
