Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

While the rest of the crew was having fun of one sort or another, Permafrost had thrown himself upon the sword of bureaucracy and was currently waiting in line at City Hall. Though he had the "proper" credentials identifying him as a privately-employed building inspector, he still had to wait in line since his cover didn't work for the city. As he neared the front of the line, Permafrost grinned subtly as he watched the interactions between those who had been ahead of him and the City Hall paper-pushers stuck behind their little desks.
Unless he was horribly mistaken, he'd end up sitting across from the perky yet bookish young blonde whose appearance and interactions simply screamed new girl.
Twenty minutes later, he was not disappointed as he unbuttoned his jacket and smoothly sat in the uncomfortable office chair in front of her desk. " 'allo Samantha, me name's James'n Carter, but yeh' c'n call me James." he said, reading the name on her desk placard, then looking up into her green eyes and smiling. Samantha tried to stifle a blush at the sound of his accent, but failed miserably. [i]~ Like taking candy from a baby. ~[/i] he thought to himself.
Another half-hour later, he walked out of City Hall with several rolls of plans for the Museum and a date with Samantha that night. He sent a text to the number on the card Scarlet had given him. "Documents acquired. ~ PF"

While waiting for a response, Hypatia resumed sketching, occasionally moving to get a better view, or to allow others to see. After sketching the oversized weapons, she moved on to the statue, occasionally making notes on the side in her native Greek.

Anyway the museum visit isn't fun anyway it's business." he tossed his empty cup in a container and headed to his bike. There he revved it up and cruised to the Museum's parking lot. "Wonder if any of the other Titans are inside?"

Scarlet's first comment was so self evident, it didn't seem to rate a response. And not having superhearing at the moment, Hypatia didn't hear Katrina's comment, or Scarlet's reply. So she continues sketching the statue, barely taking notice of Katrina's sharp, disciplined aura, or Scarlet's constantly shifting colors ^_^.

My family would never believe I ran into the Titan Legacy at a museum with out some!" Julia rolled her eyes wondering if she can get out before Scarlet resistance to taunt gives out.

Scarlet smiled as she took the photos and even handed the camera to Julia to pose. "Group shot! No one going to believe this!" After the impromptu photo shoot Julia lowered the camera "We really need to get going."
"Thanks for the photos I'm sure my friends will get a bang out of them." The two women left then perhaps the laughter of Scarlet was slightly off as she skipped to the car.

Jeremy was surprised to hear Ron say the museum visit wasn't for fun. He wondered if Theo's motivations were so benign. Then again, he knew firsthand there was nothing innocent about any of Theo's actions. He waved a goodbye to Ron and eventually his shift came to an end. $85 in tips was a great haul for the morning, and after his take he barely had enough to pay for new wheels.
The board shop was covered in vibrant 80s color pallets with magenta and cyan and bright yellow mixing across the walls. The floor was black and white checkered, and the walls were covered in displays of skateboards, longboards, snowboards, and a joking placeholder for hover boards. A sign rested on the empty pegs that said, "Coming in 2015!" referencing an old 80s movie Jeremy hadn't seen. Oddly enough, the store was empty and there wasn't anyone to welcome him. It only took a second before Jeremy pieced together what happened and shouted out, "Dammit Theo!"
"We're in the back!" TeeKay called back, now laughing. As Jeremy opened the door he found the store manager, the on-shift clerk, and TeeKay in the throws of what any conservative citizen would call scandalously appalling. "Did you wanna join?"
Jeremy was furious and spewing obscenities, "I told you not to mess with them! These are my friends dude! You are seriously messed up!" Were the only clean sentences he could make. After storming back out front, he looked at the wheel kits, seeing his spec sitting on the counter, "I'm taking this wheel kit as compensation for the bleach I need to run my eyes through!"
With haste, Jereemy fixed the wheels on his longboard and rode over to the museum. Once inside, he checked his board with the front desk and made his way through looking for Ron and anyone else he might know from Whitehold.

Finished and now bored with puppeting the store clerk and manager to do things to each other, TeeKay took the phone off the clerk and sent a message to the number on the business card.

TeeKay proceeded to disappear into the alleyways and find amusement elsewhere until his shift would begin.

"Alright lets go see the Museum head honcho and get that thing into Fort Nox or something. Maybe some military base deep underground under armor guards." He looked over and spotted Hypatia "Hey I know ya, you got a place in Whitehold don't ya." He glanced to Nova "How about you go find out where the Curator is you got more... hmm cred with these types of thing. Or call your friend at the DA office."
He looked to Shepherd "I think I need to get out of this room I can feel it's magic reacting to mine, and the other way around. Last thing we need is the power of Loki going wild on it's own."

Jeremy had finally found his way to the Norse exhibit. Before he could say anything, however, he saw Ron and Sarah part from the group separately, all with a somewhat serious look on their faces. It worried him, and rang with the words Ron said earlier at the coffee shop about this not being a visit for fun. He approached Sheperd, trying to not be too intrusive, "Hey, is Ron OK? I didn't realize this was gonna be a serious visit."

"Hey Jeremy. Don't worry it's not that high of a threat. Hopefully we are getting ahead of it but I need to get out of here maybe have myself a cigarette." Ron headed out of the exhibit walking with a steady calm walk but quick as if he was afraid that going any faster would cause a panic. Once outside he leaned against the wall and pulled out a cig from his jacket pocket then lit it. "Don't you know those thing will..." a woman was saying before getting a look at Ron he lowered the cig and smiled "Kill me?" then he laughed and took another puff.

TeeKay found himself in a slummier art of town, locking eyes with his next random victim. Her face was terrified and tears welled up, knowing what was in the syringe having watched the junkie just vanish. "Do it now."
Teekay began to compell her to press the needle into her skin, right when he heard the phone chime from the new message. "Lucky girl. You don't remember this. Run along now."
She threw the needle at him and ran off, not to be seen again.
"Who's interrupting my playtime?" He looked at the message, then immediately considered that Jeremy might be to blame. "That little...If he wants to get back at me for messing with his friends...He;ll get exactly what he deserves."
Off he went back to Whitehold to leave a note for his friend, insisting they talk before his shift tonight.

Hypatia recognized Jeremy as another resident of the second floor. Were all the residents but her superheroes? She wasn't sure if she should be reassured or alarmed. She introduced herself to Jeremy, then continued. "And here I thought I could just have a relaxing day off, indulging my hobby. No rest for the wiccan. So, how many people do you guys know that could use one of those weapons comfortably?" She indicates the large ones. "Besides our landlord, that is."

Shepherd looked at what she was sketching.
"I was once an artist before I gained my immortality. now that creativity is used in the use of the spiritual energy I manipulate.
Shepherd had gathered some of the energy around him to create a luminescant clone of her out of blue spiritual energy.

Hypatia Looks at the "clone". "Not a bad likeness, except for the color. My own abilities are rather limited. Mage Sight, Apportation, simple Blessings, levin bolts, that's about it. The Mage Sight isn't as good for checking out the history of artifacts as true psychometry would be, but I can tell that these large weapons were used in battle, like the normal-sized ones. Which in turn implies people big enough to wield them. Maybe as tall as three and a third meters, if they're proportioned like humans. There's also something about their aura, that I've never seen anything quite like before."

As Hypatia shook hands with Jeremy, she may notice the matching braided leather wristbands with silver-metallic clasps. "It's nice to meet you."
He listened to her explanation, partially fascinated, partially distracted by Sheperd's power display. He chuckled at himself as Hypatia explained her skills with the mage sight.
"I guess I'm still the only Level 0 resident..." he commented, forcing a smile before hopping back to topic, "It would likely mean that their strength is proportionately greater if not more. How heavy are those things?"

Lady Nova would head to the location specified by Hypathia with haste, but walks calmly and collected, hopefully to the Curator..

"Depends on what they're made of. But if it's iron or steel, with ordinary wood for the hafts of the spears, likely about 10 kilos and up. I wouldn't want to try lifting them just now, electronic security systems aren't my forte. I have a theory about that odd element in the aura, but-"
Her phone started vibrating, and she looked at the ID. "Ah. Speak of the dragon." She swiped the face, then spoke into it. "Hello, Karhy. Got my text?... Yes, I think so....Stay, I think I know that name..." This last was said almost in the manner of a quotation, as was what followed : "Ah, that is it then." More normally: "I'll have to get back to you on that. It turns out the giant-sized weapons aren't the only curious thing here. Thanks a bunch, Karhy!"
She ended the call. "Friend of mine has a book of extradimensional origin in her hoard. She's going to let me take a look at it later, see if it's got the same sort of oddness in its aura as the weapons."

The Officer Nova spoke to nodded "your in luck he's in today." He let her to the grand hall and then punched the security code to open the back rooms. "He's in the third office on the left." Once she enters the office Jason Tanner looks up "May I help you?"

Sheperd's wording reminded Jeremy of his instinctive mistrust of heroes. Jeremy quickly responded dismissively. "Yeah, I've been getting it under control."

Sarah takes a seat as instructed and begin to explain, using her natural charisma to explain...
"Recently, members of the reputed supergroup, the Titan's Legacy, including Lady Nova, Rotten Luck, and Shepard have expressed that the statue of Loki in the soon to be unveiled Norse Exhibit, contains a ancient and very dangerous artifact, and even worse villains could pursue it"
Waits for him to digest the information...
"I know that you keep the idea of your patrons safety as the first concern...wouldn't it be best to allow one of the most esteemed heroic groups in the city to safeguard it from a possible theft?"

"That artifact been looked at and I was told it pose no dangers. let me look it up." Jason typed on the computer real quick. "here's the report it did register magical energies, but was dormant. It's also the center piece of the whole exhibit. I could add more security, how sure are you of this?"

Sarah replies instantly, in an informative tone befitting her status as a prosecutor...
"Jacob, I trust you and your sources, but has the Legacy failed us in the past? I honestly believe on the stake of my credibility, however placed in this particular situation, that the threat to this exhibit and your patrons is moderate if not high, after speaking with them I am sure of this" She allows him time to respond

He activated his monitor and turn to the feed in the exhibit. "If it was that Rotten Luck fellow I might have doubts. The guy just barely on the right side of the law. However If both Lady Nova and Shepherd are involved as well. Okay I get it taken down tonight and transported to a secure location."

Jeremy lingered in the exhibit long enough that it was apparent he didn't get lastingly offended by the comments. However, the conversation hadn't gone anywhere and the exhibit had been seen. "I'll see you guys later."

Katrina, after scoping out entry and exit points, camera locationf, and guard posistions, all covertly of course, would make her way out of the museum with a teasing wink towards Jeremy, slyly slipping him a card containing her phone and room number within Whitehold before she goes, the only sound of her exit the click of her heeled boots against the marble floor of the Museum...

I'm more of a street crime fighter, drugs, thugs, killers. Normally this supernatural stuff Shepherds gig, and Lady Nova the whole cosmic bashing aliens and deflecting asteroids." He looked down the street "For me the best part of this gig is when a woman that was being mugged thanks ya. People forget who saves the day, sometimes some things are just to big for people to get their brains around. It's when it hits home when you make a change in their lives. That's moments they will never forget, and neither would the hero that saves them."
Then he looked to Jeremy "That is if ya want to be a hero. No pressure easiest way for you to hate knowing us is for ya to get the feeling we forcing things on ya."

Jeremy listened intently, valuing Ron's insight. He hadn't considered how towing the line between heroism and normalcy could impact his life for the better. "Yeah, I haven't reached that point yet. I think first I wanna make sure I can handle power-management and my current job first."
"I think something major would have to happen to drive me to take action.. It's just not who I am right now." Jeremy said, propping the longboard on the curb, ready to drop and roll. He looked at Ron and grinned coyly, "I'd race ya, but I think I'd only win if you kept to speed limits."

Jeremy laughed as he dropped the board and launched onto the road. Ron had a good head start. After a pumps to get some speed he began carving down the lane, easily passing the few cars on the road. After a few blocks, he pulls off and cuts onto a wide bike path that he knew would give him the shortcut he needed to beat Ron back to Whitehold.

Jermy took his time getting back to the apartment building, stopping for a hotdog from a street vendor before meandering on his way. It was near sunset before he returned to Whitehold. The cold air started to bite, and night began to creep around the city. Finally home, Jeremy set his longboard against a wall in the lobby while he checked his mailbox. There was a scribbled note taped to it, written in a handwriting Jeremy knew was Theo's. It looked erratic, which added a stress to the note's contents. He dismissed anyone from needing to pry, commenting it was something he needed to do on his own.
Back outside, he read the note further. Theo, in his typical, commanding manner, requested Jeremy to meet him in the park nearby to discuss what happened earlier. Having left his board, Jeremy continued on foot to the park, finding the park atypically abandoned for this time of twilight.
"You made some new friends." A voice stated, source unseen.
Jeremy spoke to the wind, still searching for Theo's hiding place. "Maybe one. The others are far too righteous for me to consider them friends just yet. They sort of adopted me without vetting."
"You're not trying to abandon me, are you?" Theo asked.
"N-no, of course not," Jeremy scoffed. "How could I ever replace my best friend?"
Jeremy felt a familiar sensation in his mind. The whispers of compulsive actions lingered underneath sensations of waned inebriation and clouded focus. It was like a hit of a drug after being clean for so long.
Theo approached from around a tree and reached out to his victim. Jeremy, drunk on the projection forced into his mind, didn't resist the long forgotten buzzing high Theo knew he enjoyed. Gently, Theo helped Jeremy sit down on the park bench, further relaxing to the forceful invasion.
Jeremy's eyes had glazed over as his head lulled on an unsupporting neck. His breathing stuttered and panted as his mind took flight.
Theo knew Jeremy was now unable to resist his questions, and began his interrogation. Jeremy knew enough; an unfortunate coincidence of being delayed to the museum and new to the group, but connecting with Ron all the same. What Theo did find out was who was there, and what they were looking at, and the plans to move the orb.
"Who's your best friend?" Theo asked.
"You are." Jeremy slurred.
Theo took advantage of this and held Jeremy tightly, serving his personal desires. His touch betrayed him further, implying to Jeremy a value and importance between them. Theo couldn't restrain his nature for long, and his compulsive sadism brought him back to his prey.
"Remember that when you hang out with your new buddies. I'd hate to lose you to the type of person I protected you from all those years growing up." Theo warned.
Jeremy felt Theo leave his mind so abruptly it sent him into immediate withdrawal.
"No, please don't leave." Jeremy reflexively pleaded.
"You want more?" Theo taunted. Jeremy whimpered as he nodded a yes. "I'll let you come by tonight, but you have to earn it."
"But you know I'm not like that," Jeremy weakly protested.
Theo smiled as he pulled a vaporizer out of his jacket and turned it on, "That hasn't stopped you before."
"M-Maybe I've changed." Jeremy excused as they passed the vaporizer back and forth taking quick hits.
Theo leaned in and whispered into Jeremy's ear, "We both know how you really feel deep down."
Jeremy found his strength to push himself away from Theo. "Any feelings you're finding are ones you put in my head from before."
Theo blew the vapors into Jeremy's face, "Not these. You can blame me for the matured feelings we share, but at the root of them all... Those are yours."
Jeremy struggled to keep his defense up, but memories of his early friendship with Theo were very strong and disarming. As the high from the pot hit his brain, he felt Theo removing his withdrawal cravings. "You know where I'll be tonight. You know what I want, and you know what you'll get."
Theo stood and walked away from the bench, turning only once to wink and smooch the air at Jeremy. "Your choice. Your move."
Jeremy sat on the bench for a few minutes after Theo had vanished, still riding the last of the high from Theo's mind-frak. Theo's absence was now a pit in his stomach pulling him down. He weighed his options and hated all of them as much as he hated himself at that moment. Eventually the air got cold enough to rouse Jeremy and he lumbered back to Whitehold Apartments.
Meanwhile, Theo in his Tom persona approached the now closing museum and flashed his credentials. He started his evening with news that concerns had been raised about the staff in the Norse exhibit.

Hypatia texted an "OMW" to Karhy, and then unlocked her bike and headed to the Central Library. Kahry was waiting for her in one of the reading carrels, under a cloaking spell lest the presence of a 1.3 m dragon disturb the patrons. There was a box on the desk, and Karhy had a stylus on one claw to use on her tablet. "So this is the Book from Elsewhere?"
"So my supplier assured me, twenty years ago. The language was unknown to any of my family, which speaks well for his honesty in this matter. And the translation spell results matched the text of this Library's English language copy fairly well."
Kahry opened the box, and Hypatia took a good Look. The aura was much less bloody than that of the Giants' weapons, but in its own way just as complex. Sifting through, Hypatia thought she found a common element, perhaps the effect of moving between worlds. Or perhaps not.
"There is something in common, but with effectively only two samples, it's hard to be certain. And it's not likely that they're from the same Elsewhere, is it?." Something Kahry had said brought a smile to Hypatia's lips. "The translation matched only [I]fairly well[/I]?"
"Yes. The plot is intact, but it seems that in many places our friend from the Land of Almost Constant Road Repair chose a different phrasing than my spell did. Almost invariably better, in that the style came through more...floridly. So, what else did you find in the exhibit?"
"Something that certain superheroes are worried about. They didn't exactly ask me to keep quiet about it, but it seems to me that need-to-know applies."
"I hate need-to-know."
"So, next time I see one of them, I'll ask if I can brief you. Of course, they may have resolved the situation by then."
"I suppose that will have to do."
"I have some errands I need to run. Take care!"
As Hypatia left, the dragon closed the box and placed it on a floating disc. She used her tablet to tap into the security cameras no make sure no one could see, then pivoted the bookcase away from the stairs leading to her lair. As she descended, the disc followed, and the shelf pivoted back over them.

Ron had got to the apartments first. Even with him following traffic laws so when the frozen pizza was ready he went looking for Jeremy and heard that he had just left. Ron returned to his apartment and opened a beer as he looked out the window. "Somethings up with him." Then downs the beer "Damn undeath I can't even get buzzed!"

Jason Tanner walked into the crew brake room. "Alright people we got a situation. Turns out the staff in the Norse Museum needs to be removed, however it's the center piece of the whole Exhibit. So this is what we going to do. We will make a show replicated staff the real item going to be transported to a secure location. This isn't unheard of every dinosaur bone is after all a plaster fake."

The rest of you standard work duties."

Just as soon as Tanner surely departs, a slim and feminine figure would drop down from the dark rafters above, cloaked in a midnight black and grey accented jumpsuit, both the legs and chest plates revealing teasing slivers of skin, just above her breasts and the curves of her hips respectively.
Adorning her right upper calves and arms would be two secured bands containing hidden knives and caltrops, the opposite leg and arm pouches of smokebombs and mini-launch able bolas. Her bracers are lined with faux silver fur, the left a storage chamber for firing various darts, the right a cleverly concealed grapple line for swinging and occasional offense.
Finally, to tie the outfit together, a similar fur lining upon the neckband, above it a pristine and beautiful, no doubt young face, her eyes hidden by a full domino mask, the covers over the eyes a gradient and pulsing silver, the visage framed by sweeping waves of platinum blond hair, her smooth and cold voice further enchanting her impressive and intimidating image...
"Well, well..." She whispers, at the moment remaining unseen if they were to turn toward her voice...

TeeKay turned to Crystal and said, "OK I'll go get the staff if you want to get started on the cores."
He stepped on through the museum and immediately put his guard up. The shadows and security measures were enough to put him on edge, but a random security guard with an excited trigger finger was the last thing he wanted at the moment. As he approached the Norse wing, he notified the security guards to assist him in removing the object per the curator's and Tanner's instruction. With the staff in his hand, and a guard 'escorting' him, he began his journey back to the restorations lab.
"Who's there?" he called out, suspecting he heard someone, but unable to see who it was. He immediately compelled the rent-a-guard to raise his weapon holding it with a skill beyond the guard's ability.

Said guard would suddenly feel a pinch as a dart finds his neck, powerful sedatives already taking effect, meant to quickly render him unconscious if successful, as Talon slowly reveals herself to be behind TK...

TeeKay was visibly furious, but contained himself. He whispered loudly at her, "What are you doing?! [i]I've[/i] got a job to do, the curator wants a replica of the staff first!"

TeeKay rolled his eyes. "I hate it when they're unconscious."
He knelt down and placed a hand on the guard's face. After a moment, the guard shot up giving the punk the window he needed to puppet the guard once again. Now, even if the drug from the dart overcame the adrenaline rush TeeKay just induced, he had enough contact to continue the puppet show. "The security system will still be down for another minute or two if there was another prize you wanted."
TeeKay justifiably assumed he didn't need to state the obvious, like keep out of sight and be quiet. He continued with the guard at his side away from Talon and into the employee's only secure area. Once there, he set the guard down as though he was sleeping on the job and continued to the restorations lab.
Once inside, TeeKay and Crystal went to work fabricating the replicas. Crystal had one orb mostly complete and was quite useful assisting with other fabrication that TeeKay desired. During a downtime, even accelerated by Crystal's skills with elements, TeeKay forged a work order for restoring a horn in the Norse exhibit, which arrived close to the deadline he and Crystal were given.
"You think that's enough?" Crystal asked looking at her and TeeKay's handiwork.
"Yeah, this should be all we need," he grinned, now taking advantage of the privacy to wipe her memory and implant alternate ones. "I can clean up here if you want to take this one back to the exhibit."
Crystal took the offered staff and left the lab. The moment she left TeeKay immediately took to crating the remaining staffs and marking them all genuine. A devilish grin flashed across his face as he called Jason Tanner to tell him the replica was completed and the original was ready to ship. Before he left, he made sure to leave one of the crates out for the staff to ship to the secure location.
TeeKay looked around for his drugged up guard from earlier, finding him still unconscious. "Well buddy, Hope you don't mind the occasional dude."
TeeKay had to kiss the unconscious man, but in doing so tapped the highly difficult ability to transfer a memory. He did so with his memory of which staff was which, and suppressed it deep into the guard's subconscious. He looked at his watch...almost 2 am.

Talon would be watching the entire time with a cynical eye, her face as motionless as the mask crossing her eyes before raising an eyebrow in clear annoyance at Teekay kissing the unconcious guard, as he would feel a cold claw trace his upper back in warning, as he looks back finding nothing, before if he turns suddenly finding her right before him...
"What the hell do you think your doing?!" Hisses quietly, clearly not understanding...

He would instantly be met with the flat edge of her humming, kinetic katana buzzing with a dangerous air as she holds it there, coldly muttering...
"And just WHAT was that supposed to be?" Her tone is as apathetic as her blade, a clear warning...

Teekay unnervingly and coldy commanded, "Put that down."
Should she glance away from him, she'd see he had the guard pointing his gun at her, ever so subtly. "I don't know what you've heard before our meeting tonight, but I found out some of Titan's Legacy had intentions of moving the staff tonight. Fortunately, they wanted a replica.
He leaned in, almost touching the katana with his forehead, "I made two. Insurance. Now they'll take a fake one, another resting in the exhibit..."
He grinned hoping she'd see he had good reason for the deception. "Now at the risk of repeating myself, put that down."

"Cute." As she speaks, she calmly fires a electric dart into the neck of the said guard without even facing away from Teekay, meant only to disable him for ten minutes at best, as she keeps her blade up despite his command, she resisted his influence as she mocks...

Shepherd stood watch the whole time after Ron and Lady Nova left. Ron couldn't be near it so decided to do his friend the favor of staying in the museum as long as he had too in order to watch the orb. He pulled out his phone.
"Hey Ron It's Shepherd. I decided to stay in the museum to keep an eye on the orb for ya, so don't worry, i can take care of things here and guarding the orb while it gets transported."

Teekay barely half-shrugs, smirking. She didn't see he still had physical contact on him.
Through TeeKay's ability, the guard pulled the trigger 3 times, each time intentionally missing everything, but making a loud impact. Amid the sudden confusion he rolled the blade away from his face and ran off.
"SHOTS FIRED SHOTS FIRED! SOMEONE'S HERE!"
Barely a moment after the shouting and the gunshots echoed through the halls, the alarms went off and the electronic locks went on.

Shepherd heard the shots but had to stay watching the orb, so he did the only thing he knew to do. The Ghostwalker touched the orb as he and the orb went invisible and replaced with a clone he created using the faint energy coming from the original. no one would be able to tell the difference as he went to where he heard the shots. The orb invisible and masked with in his person so no one that could see auras could detect it..

TeeKay tumbled and spilled onto the ground, landing on his back. After coughing through the smoke, he laughed before laying prone and vulnerable. Soon a guard would come buy and his cover was now intact.
In his mind, he thought about who exactly Talon was. She had resisted a great deal of his abilities. He also chastised himself for relying so much on compulsive motor control instead of outright telekinetic motor control he should be developing. It would at least give him the expanded ability to control the dead and the plastic. Still, he was concerned why she was there tonight. Had she, like him, planned something else?
His thoughts couldn't linger on Talon for long. His only gratification at this point was that he had orchestrated the veritable ball-in-cup guessing game with the original staff and the replicas.

Shepherd had only stepped away from the orb when he went to call Ron and the staff and security were there to get better reception only to come back and hear the gunshots when he returned. After he rplaced the orb and reached the location he saw the guard down and noticed TeeKay on the floor. recognizing him as one of the taff he helps him up.
"What happened here? I leave the exibit for a few minutes to make a call and all hell breaks loose. Are you alright?

TeeKay recognized him from earlier when he went to retrieve the staff for fabrication."Hey.. Yeah, I'll be fine...She kicked me from behind. I think she thought I was going for a lockdown panel or something.. Did you see her?"
He coughed a bit from the kick, genuinely.

"No i didn't I went straight to the orb until I heard the gun shots. i replaced it with a clone of my own using the faint energy coming off of it. Ihave the original here. figured I"d hold on to it until you guys fabricated the fake. What did she look like?"

Permafrost's eyes snapped open as his mental alarm went off at 1:00 AM. As he started moving, Samantha grunted in her sleep and wrapped her arms around him tighter. He grinned cockily and kissed the top of her tousled hair, then concentrated for a second and began lowering his body temperature. Still asleep, she whined and unwrapped her arms, then burrowed deeper into the covers. Permafrost moved silently to his feet and surrounded her body in a bubble of warmth. She settled back down, her breathing resuming the slow and even tempo of someone in REM.
Permafrost took a quick shower and dressed, then left a business card for Jameson Carter wedged into the frame of her make-up mirror. They'd had a very fun evening together, with Samantha proving to be far less prim and proper than her office persona had led him to believe. He grinned cockily again and skirted her bed, his fingers gliding along the toned leg that had worked itself free of the covers.
Once out on the street, he found the cab that he'd called waiting for him and entered it silently. He handed the driver a slip of paper with an address on it that was several doors down from the junk shop and a $100, his black-gloved hand leaving no fingerprints on either of them. The driver pulled up to the address twenty-five minutes later and Permafrost exited the cab before he could finish making change. He strolled off down the sidewalk and the driver shrugged, then drove off, grinning.
As Permafrost walked past the junk shop, he scoped it out. No signs of habitation, so he walked around back and into the alley behind it. Once there, he removed his gloves and placed the tip of his right index finger against the lock. He could have deep-froze the lock and smashed it, but Permafrost preferred a far greater degree of subtlety in his work. Instead, he sent ice creeping into the mechanism of the lock and concentrated, feeling the particles moving and filling the gaps where the teeth of the key would fit. Once that was done, he created an ice copy of the key and unlocked the door.
Permafrost stepped into the back room of the shop at precisely 1:55 AM, then waited to be greeted.

"I think I need some water." He said as he dramatized a struggle to stand.

A familiar sound, the whir of cosmic energy is heard as Lady Nova streaks toward them to Shepard first...
"So you have the orb?" Turns to TK, concern flashing over her face...

Katrina manges to slink into her Whitehold apartment unoticed, smiling as she disrobes and stows away her costume carefully, her work done for now as she puts on a grey halter top and black plaid pants, tying her hair into a loose ponytail as she takes a moment to laze about on her velvet red loveseat, pondering...
Teekay had tried to influence her, manipulate her even, with no telling what he could have made her do if she hadn't been trained to resist...
It made her FURIOUS!
Her thoughts were turbulent as she whispers...
"Can't be puppeted, not again..." Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she focused on instead thinking back on the fact that, not without it's hitches of course, one man dead, their initial heist was a success, and the adrenaline high from the event had not yet faded, something she was grateful for, as she smiled...
Making her way sluggishly to a neatly made silver-sheeted bed, Katrina unceremoniously threw herself upon it, and before dozing off as peacefully as possible given her current occupation, she sent a quick text to her fellow cohorts, on a burner phone of course...
"Job is done. Resting, will arrive at the Shop at 3:00, occupy yourselves until then, Talon out"
Assured that it was sent, she drifted off to placid sleep...

Permafrost would need to duck as Scarlet was in full blown temper mode she threw a box containing nails at the door. "THAT $#@!#@ Had one job! One! Get a tracker in that crate!" A dagger went flying bedding itself in the door frame. "NO NO What did I hear on the police scanner. An alert to the museum! Shots fired. If that TeeKay alive I'm going to kill him!" She then stops look at her phone then Permafrost and in a voice devoid of the anger tantrum of just a moment ago "Oh It's meeting time?"

Ron pulls up to the front of the museum sidewalk be damned and jumps off. Stopping only when he found the front door locked. "Oh right." He hits his communicator "Shepherd, I'm at the front door what's happening." Police cars stopping in front of the Museum as well.

"Did ya use magic to remove it from the staff?" Ron was wondering if the Orb would awaken with Shepherd's powers.
