Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

Accessing the internet, [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] found that the venerable design was indeed capable of short take-offs, less than a kilometer with a normal load. This one looked to be fairly new, either one of the current "J" models or a well maintained and upgraded older model. She waved to Heartseeker and Emerald, and the other hero she hadn't been introduced to the night before.
From her bag, she pulled out a tablet. She downloaded the message she had received from it, though it said the information in it had been sent to Roxi as well. It contained links to news reports and uploaded video of several incidents. A fight involving Psychpomp and Circumstance, LLC, apparently over possession of an orb similar to the one described in the Philly File. Another fight at Phoenix Plaza, along with scans of some rather good sketchwork of a similar orb mounted on a staff held by a statue of Loki at the recent Norse Exhibit at the Museum of History. A list of incidents going back hundreds of years, attributed to a man whose height was somewhere between two and four meters, and may have the ability to grow even taller. There was also a list of references to the Darkweal, including some quotes and some summaries, but nowhere near enough to reconstruct the book. It was, however, enough to convince the author of the email, one "Karhythadrizsa" from the .sig, that it could enable some very bad things to happen, and should be locked away somewhere very secure. A "P.S." asked her to say "Hi!" to her Fairy Godfather. This had puzzled [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] for several milliseconds before she realized that it was reference to her "Uncle" Val.
"So, do you have this information already?" She offered the tablet to anyone who wanted to check it.

Steel climbed into the pilots seat, and started hitting switches and buttons and adjusting dials. Jayde hadnt joined him yet, she was busy going over thier payload with hearseeker. "That info?, " she said as she checked the straps on the bikes. "havent seen what ive been sent yet, but if youd like to upload that to my pad it would be appreciated." She gestured towards the pack she had brought on the plane. Then she pulled the strap again for good measure. Emerald was helping her make sure all was secure as well. Heartseeker had a clipboard and and was inventorying the lot of bikes. There were 9 motorcycles in all. Also two four wheeled ATVs and a few actual pedal powered mountain bikes. They had boxes of supplies, ammunition, firearms, and medical equipment. 6 computers, and numerous phones and tablets were al loaded into big foam packed cases . "she really is thorough, " Heart said speaking of Roxi's preparedness. "oh here , these are from you i think" she handed a box to the unknown. In it contained multiple IDs . Jayde put the contents together for him . She knew as witnessed , he could assume the form of anyone he saw. Her little joke however was to make sure the IDs he had to choose from were all female....and not very attractive to boot. She was always the prankster, and her new friends were just a couple of more to have fun with.
He looked into the box of IDs the fact all the images were female was not a bother to Unknown. Soon he chosen one of them a black haired woman and his form soon became hers. Shifting of mass was needed adding a bit of weight to the form so the woman of Grace Mathews was a bit curvy. "We are have chosen this form." Her attire was now a a black halter top and black jeans with knee high boots. She passed the box back to Heart. Then showing that the creature of unknown was able to mimic bone structures she walked with a stride of a woman to a seat near the window. "Of course until this form is needed." She then became the a sexural humanoid form.

The engines started to rumble on the massive plane. Heartseeker had just finished double checking everything in the boxes. She was hurrying to her seat when the plane started to taxi forward. Glenshadow grabbed her hand and helped her to the seat next to him. "Some interesting friends you've got there" he said still holding on to her as she hastily buckled in. "Yes they're quite astonishing, they're abilities will come in handy as well" she finished. Glenshadow looked over at the unknown and Aiko and then back to cargo hold. "I'm glad she let me bring my bike, dont wanna be jetting around town on one of those fancy crotch rockets you ride" He was referring of course to his harley davidson. As he looked back at the tarp that was covering his bike, a voice came over the system"Ladies and gentlemen, please be seated and strap in for the takeoff, and as we hit cruising altitude a stewardess will be around to take your drink order " Steel joked. He then hitr the throttle.....the engines roared and the planes speed increased. He and Jayde at the same time after moving down the runway some pulled back on the yokes in front of each one, he throttled up more and the massive plane lifted off the ground.
Steel loved to fly, he was the groups inpromtu pilot and taught Jayde everything she knew as well. They were both more than compitant to handle pretty much anything they could, flight wise. After climbing for awhile the plane leveled out and started to cruise towards thier destination. The sun was peering over the horizon and the clouds were dancing with different colors from it. Heartseekers phone chirped , along with Aiko's pad. "Good luck to all and best wishes. DO be careful please." From roxi .
Later that same day........
Roxicon sat at the table with Syl and Lil. She was going over the news reports from around the world. Plus the stations were all abuzz about the local activities." Seems we may have an issue here." Syl finished sending her texts to Shepherd and said" iv'e just contacted someone that may be able to help. " she looked at her phone for a reply .
A rather dapper gentleman entered the coffee shop. His slim slate gray pants neatly capped his black leather boots while his maroon pinstripe vest covered a tailored white shirt. Hanging from a belt holster on his left side was a strange ebony rod with a silver filigree inlay. The rod held a strong magical signature, peaking highest with aspects of white magic. He ordered a mocha at the counter and waited patiently for his order to be filled.

The girl behind the counter looked at the stranger and then to Roxicon , who shrugged . She started to get his order together.
Syl looked at the man as well. Not recognizing him she went back to her phone. " What time can we expect you ? Soon?" She texted
The dapper gentleman took the finished order and sipped it as he looked around. He was clearly confused about something. After checking his phone to confirm he wasn't crazy – again – he sat down in a seat near Rox and Syl thumbing the ornate rod. He mumbled under his breath, "maybe they use this place?"

Roxicon looked over at Sylvermyre then back at the gentleman. " Hello there , I'm assuming you read an ad" she smiled. " would you care to join ?" She motioned for him to sit in the booth. " I'm sorry I didn't heed you earlier but I was waiting for someone ".
At this point Lilly had walked over and stood behind the gentleman. Not threatening , just joining the conversation.
Kat opened the door to The Daily Grind and strolled in, her gaze sweeping the coffee shop to assess the people within. She was short, maybe 5' 4", and wearing blue sneakers, worn jeans, black T-shirt with a day-glow pop-tribal symbol on the chest, and a worn sleeveless leather jacket. Sliding into a booth, she toyed with a menu, eves-dropping on the current conversation while waiting for someone to take her order.
The dapper gentleman looked up and smiled. "Yes I'd be happy to. I did see some ads, but it was...um, let's call it spiritual guidance that led me here today."
He stood, and for a moment his face seemed younger than a typical gentleman's, but then quickly the guise had been restored. "My name is Luca Giovanni. Yes, relation — he's my uncle, no I'm not in the family business. ...I was curious why, but maybe... do you have need for an occultist or an alchemist per chance?"

"We have needs for all types. Currently we have a team in transit to help with or at least try to get some answers about these portals. You had to hear something about them , haven't you? " Roxicon said
Syl had noticed Kat come in and walked over towards her.
The gentleman blushed, revealing an inexperience in life that didn't match the lines beginning on his face. "Indeed I have, but I too am looking for answers. I awoke to an enchantment reacting to their presence - good alarm if I may boast. It took too long to scry for the location, and it ultimately pointed me to this address. As I said, I am familiar with your ads, though admittedly never put much stock into them until now."
He paused, looking around for more to enter and caught eyes with Kat. He chose his words carefully, suspecting she might be listening in, "They disrupt a balance I'm invested in maintaining. I look forward to meeting this team."

Kat had been doodling on a napkin, and looked up as Syl approached. "Iced coffee," she said casually. "I hear the Sumantran blend is pretty good."
With a flick of her fingers, she slid the napkin forward. If bore the number 3 and letter A. "This mean anything to you?"
Syl looked at the napkin and smiled. " So you're here for work ? Can you tell me about yourself ? Not trying to pull to many secrtes from you , just need to know what suits you best ."
Roxicon looked at the gentlemen a bit puzzled. " wonder why it brought you here " she thought a moment. " we believe the source to be located somewhere in Africa . But we ......." She paused then very overly excited she said "of course!!!!!!!" . She stood up and said "would you mind following me?"
Kat regarded her a moment, then brushed a lock of short silver-blond hair back behind an ear,and replied easily, "Yeah, I saw some ads. Sounded to me like someone was looking to hire a person with a strong background in 'Acquisitions'. Assuming I didn't misread, of course. As for telling you about myself... well, I have a strong background in 'Acquisitions'. And a few related talents. Also, good at Parkour, and a few other things."
She traced a fingertip along the booth's countertop, trailing a lacy hoarfrost pattern in its wake, her gaze never leaving Syl's face.
Syl stared at Kat for a min. She pondered the implications of the words and stated outright " we've got a team in place to acquire something" she paused and chose her words carefully . " these things are important to our client and are considered top priority at the moment . As I understand it there will be a second group heading to aid , for different reasons but with the same goal. If you are willing to take the risk. We're wiling to offer reward ".
"Now we're talking," Kat grinned, with a flash of brash 18-year-old cockiness. "I'm interested. What kind of reward?"
" that's up to you to negotiate with the boss " syl gestured to Roxicon before she led the gentleman away
Luca followed quickly behind Roxi as she led him away. Only briefly did he run his fingers across the silver inlay to assure him that nothing had moved away from him.

Kat lounged in the booth with the boneless grace of youth, awaiting Roxis's return. After a moment, she slid out and walked up to the counter, and cleared her throat, to catch the attention of the young man there. "Ice Coffee," Kat ordered, "Sumatran".
Roxicon led Luca to a room in the back. There was a man , the drone soldier that was captured by the group at warehouse 27. His wounds were healed thanks to Lilly , and he was watching cartoons on a little tv. There were empty soda cans and a few burger wrappers on the small table. He obviously wasn't being treated like a prisoner. The whole yikes they were walking she recounted the events of the warehouse. " so here he is. He hasn't said a word. He hasn't made any threatening moves he just likes to watch tv. " she explained. " I'm not even sure he can talk. " She went up and gently patted the drones shoulder. He briefly took his gàze from the bugs bunny cartoon and the pointed to his mouth. Roxicon then gestured to the mini fridge that was next to the little table. " I've been trying to get him to think for himself " she stated. " either way he is a clone. One of a collective. And he has one of these in him. " she produced a small glass jar and in it was a tiny pill shaped object. "We believe those responsible for the portals also made him. Thàts probably why you were brought here. He is a direct link to them. You being here is even more proof of that. "
A flash of light outside hastened the arrival of the four heroes from clarkstown . The ones who had dealt with the portals had arrived for information.
Syl saw the light and sensed the presence of the person she met the night before. She walked to the front door and opened it. There she saw Shepherd with four others. One she recognized from the pizza shop. The Lillum. One was an apparition. Another looked like a cowboy. The last was a powerful looking huntress type.
" hey there " she said as she welcomed them all inside.
Stepping forward, Sister Flare regards Syl with an inquisitive pair of eyes that sweeps her companions in turn, as she attempts to mystically discern their auras and overall nature. She then speaks, her tone like steel reinforced velvet.
"My tracking incantation displayed point within the Desert, I will need a globe or atlas to determine where the summonor of these creatures are. But before we depart, I must convene with my elders for further guidance."

Kat paid for her iced coffee, strolled back to her booth, and settled in to watch the others.
Misty looked around "wow nice place where are the hipsters?" She said as she floated into the coffee shop.

Syl , seeing these newcomers with shepherd felt at ease and didn't perceive a threat. She approached sister flare and offered her hand. " Sylvermyre " she stated." I'm kheldian" she answered bluntly from the stares. " I understand you were with shepherd and dealt with the portals that opened in this city "
Lilly watched misty enter and casually observed her. Knowing she was also with shep , she didn't even react. Just a quick wave the group and then she sat at the booth with Kat. " Roxi seems to be taking longer than expected , perhaps I can help with your negotiation. " she placed a quick call. " yeah, got it , ok ". Then she hung up. " What is it you require ?" She asked.
Syl then spoke again to sister flare. " I don't think you'll need a globe. , the source we believe is somewhere in Egypt "
Sister Flare shook Syl's hand firmly but not too strongly, as she responds thoughtfully.
"Yes I was, the creatures appeared to be summoned at random, their features and strength escalating as the frequency in appearances grew." She takes a moment to take in the news that the source is in Egypt.
"Interesting, the sands are awash with strong magic there...a perfect summoning point." She then inquires quietly.
"You stated you are a Kheldian? What exactly are you?"

"What is it I require?" Kat repeated, lifting an eyebrow. "I'd settle for precious stones, preferably diamonds, although other gemstones are negotiable." She smiled, adding, "Seriously, without knowing the job, how can I be expected to set a fair price?"
Lilly,flushed with embarrassment , realized nobody had even gone over the details of the operation with Kat. She regained her composure and then offered a data pad with the brief rundown of the events of warehouse 27, and the portals in clarkstown. The data was very generic in a way to not divulge any secrets of other heroes. " we're after those objects. " she said. "The orb and the tome "
Syl replied to sister flare. " I think summoned is an inaccurate term ". She offered a data pad to sister flare " we're starting to believe that these fractures in reality are more random than targeted " she explained further. "They don't seem to have purpose or a set pattern or goal. They've been appearing globally , some even over the ocean. There was a report of a fishing boat that witnessed a fire demon coming through one only to be drowned immediately by the waters of the North Atlantic . The report is sketchy. So not 100% sure it's related, but.... " syl took a moment. " if these are random they obviously need to be stopped, and if they are deliberate we need to make sure we stop them sooner , before they figure out how to focus everything in one spot . "
Kat nodded. "Been pretty slow lately, so, I'm interested. As for a fee, let me sort that out with your boss when she gets back. As well as going over the other parameters regarding side-acquisitions." She grinned, sipped her coffee, found it still too warm, and automatically frosted the glass and its contents. "When do we leave, and I need to pack anything?"
Sister Flare ponders the new information a moment before speaking thoughtfully.
"Then they are simply meant as a show of force, ambient deadly as it is. The randomness of these rifts could be the result with relative inexperience with the foci being used?"

"We're not sure " Syl stated. She then recounted the events of the warehouse to sister flare and added " the tome , which was more of a side note , could be the source. Although still not sure how or why. " she started walking to the back room" would you mind following me?" She asked sister flare.
Lilly saw syl head to the back room and stood up as well. " Kat , mind following them as well ? " she paused. " as for when you're leaving and what you might need , all the equipment is in place already. And the sooner the better. "
Kat shrugged and rose to follow Lilly and the others. She was not adverse to easedropping, and had picked up bits of the other conversations, enough to know there was talk of magic and portals and 'tomes' and 'orbs'. Not her usual kind of job, but it sounded interesting.
Sister Flare nodded as she followed closely behind Syl, curious as to what she had to reveal.

Roxicon was in the middle of talking to the dapper gentkeman when syl and Lilly approached. " Hello" , Roxi said introducing herself. She then explained to the others the same she had already to lucin. Thier prisoner , well not really , his origin , the chip , Egypt , everything. " so you'll be joining our other team already in place. . If you're interested. ". She paused " the scope of this being potentially global , the more hands on the better. "
Syl spoke up " I can take you there if you'd like ".
Roxicon stepped aside with Kat and said. " I heard what you're interested in , and its no problem " she showed Kat an image of a set of valuable jewels . There was two rings ,sapphire with inlaid platinum. A necklace that matched , and a bracelet. " these were given to us as payment for something , if they'll cover your fee , then they're yours "
"I can't. Kind of bound to the city being a spirit and all."

Kat studied the picture, secretly astonished that they would offer such a rich reward to someone unknown to them. Of course, being offered a reward and actually collecting on it were two different things. But Kat merely nodded, handing the photo back to Roxicon. "That should do."
"Do I look like the type that would know all this stuff? I just know I tried to leave a few times, faded out and kind of woke up at my grave. If there a way to let me leave city borders that great. Heck if I know."

Cal tipped his hat and politely greeted those already at the coffee house. He listened in as they described what they'd found so far, but he had nothing to add on the intellectual side of the meeting. He followed along as the rest of the group was led towards the back of the coffee house.

Rhythiel's wounds from the recent battle were almost completely healed, along with the wound from her unbonding just below her collarbone, although the other eight were still open, and the dress was shredded in places. She had waited outside for a few minutes, enjoying the morning sun before she went in and listened to the briefing.
"Unfortunately, I cannot leave this city at this time. There is a young man with powerful enemies who needs my protection until he can be taught to defend himself. However, if you have any tasks here that I can help with while your other... agents... are overseas, I would be glad to help. When I have a...cell phone? I will give you the number to call."

Luca greeted the others politely with a slight youthfulness. Those that could see his aura would appear almost white with gold hues around the head and turning blue-white around the edges. "Luca Giovanni - yes relation, he's my uncle," was all he really said. He listened, he followed along, and usually kept quiet.

"So if we're ready , those of who will be joining the Egypt team , I can get you there momentarily. Now that I have a fixed point to triangulate " Syl spoke up to the group of people standing around Roxicon " are we all ready ? " she asked .
Luca nodded, thumbing the rod in it's holster at his side. A spark traveled across the filigree before the device settled down. Everyone preparing to travel would feel a small boost in confidence and slightly sharpening their minds, improving their aim and their inner strength.

Kat moved in closer to the others and waited to see what happened next. The sudden boost in confidence and sharpening of sense she chalked up to an adrenaline boost.
"Getting there momentarily" sounded like some seriously alternate mode of travel, though, and she flexed her knees a bit, not sure what to expect next.
"I reckon ahm as ready as ah'll ever be, little lady." Cal said. He pulled his hat down tight, straightened his gunbelt, and gave his badge a quick shine with his duster sleeve.

Syl pressed everyone together in a smalle group. She had them inlock thier hands and then she sat still a moment. A flash and a snapping of air, and they were gone.
Sister Flare nods to Misty as she speaks, raising a curious eyebrow as she mentions slumber parties, commenting slowly.
"Why would one party during slumber? After I return, we shall discuss this further." She assures, before allowing herself to disappear in a flash with the Egypt group.

"Or maybe learn colloquial English. No one who grew up speaking English in the past half-century could avoid learning about the slumber party." Rhythiel cocked her head, considering. "Maybe she's got more of a sense of humor than you think."
She noted the time, and headed towards the door. "Well, I'm going to check up on my protectee, let him know I didn't get myself killed. I'll let you guys know if I get one of those cell phones."

The next morning, Roxi, Blue, Heartseeker, Jayde, and Steel, all sat in the coffee shop eating a good breakfast. Steel sat with heartseeker and Jayde and watched Heart go back and get a second , bacon egg and cheese bagel. "Someone's got thier appitite back" He said with a smile. "Yes i do " heart smiled back at him. Roxi and Blue sat at another table talking about logistics and specifics on thier upcoming assignment to Brazil. They hoped they could get more outside help like last time. Blue got up and brought two more coffees back to the table.
The door to the coffee shop opened, a person walking in soon after. The person was male, dressed in a red hoodie with blue jeans and a pair of green sneakers. Judging by his face one could tell he was in about in his early twenties. As he walked in he took off his hood, revealing blonde, medium in length hair, it was messy, seemingly not combed in about a month. The most outstanding feature however were his eyes, having red irises with a faint glow.
He approached the counter and leaned on it. "A latte, please." He said, avoiding direct eye contact. While he was waiting for his coffee, he nervously placed his hand into his hoodie's right pocket and seemed to fiddle around with an object inside it.
Sandra Rose was at the counter "What size Latte? And do you want whip cream on that?" Her black hair was tied in a pony tail and she was dressed in black pants and white shirt. In a baby crib was Crystal asleep in the sunlight in a yellow one piece.

"Medium. No cream." He said, then glancing over his shoulder for a rather long moment, but eventually turning his head back forwards.
Steel was eyeing the newcomer and of course Jayde had an eye on him as well. If he was here for the job, he'd know to communicate that to the others. That was the message hidden away in so many lines of code. 3A is all that was needed to let them know he was there for work.
She was nervous strange sensation but she harden herself and used the machine to make the Latte. In her human form she was resistant to liquid, but she didn't enjoy it. Once the drink was done she put a lid on it and set it on the counter. "That will be $3.50 do you desire anything else?"

The door opened again, and Lexi entered. To the Mark One Eyeball, she hadn't changed at all since the first time she had entered the shop, barely (or perhaps almost, to those with better than normal senses) on the human side of the uncanny valley, save for new clothes and more confidence. Those able to see magic auras, however, would note an aura of almost pure white, not strong, but certainly much stronger than one might expect of an electronic intelligence...
She nodded to Sandra, Steel, and Jayde, and smiled at Crystal as she stepped up behind the man in the hoodie, waiting for him to finish paying for his latte.

He pulled his hand out of his hoodie's right pocket, not taking anything out, but reaching into his jeans' pocket instead, now taking out a black wallet. He opened it and handed a $5 banknote to Sandra.
As lexi entered Roxicon smiled. Jayde and Heart immediately stood up and greeted thier friend with a warm embrace. "Hiya dear" jayde spoke up. "Up for more fun?" she aksed. Heartseeker immediately whisked her away towards thier table, and asked " Can i get you something ?"
Steel nodded at lex and went back to eyeing the other figure in the shop. At that point Blue stood up and walked over to him. "Hey freind" he said," you here for the job?"
Lexi nodded. "Brazil this time, I understand? What region?"

"Acre" Roxi spoke up. "Specifically a warehouse outside of Rio Branco"..she added. "So we think, she corrected" she slid the data pad to Lexi. "This is where we've been getting reports of the bio weapons manufacturing" She went on to fill lexi in on the missing scientists, two german and one russian who were experts in thier feild. Had been seen in this town, under duress. "We beleive someone is trying to weaponize some serious germs and are forcing the scientists to work for them." She sipped her tea then added, "Of course our imformant has dissapeared, and there had been no contact with anyone on the project for almost three days. Thats why were sending in a team. A small one." She looked at lexi a sec and added, "It should be more cloak and dagger , than egypt was"....
He turned his head towards Blue, thinking, did someone just speak to me? Yes, there was someone, it was his to-be employer. "Yes, I am." He said rather nervously, seemingly out of shyness. "But... there is a small issue at the moment, somebody is after me and i think he will soon show himself to deal with me. I am not-" He stopped mid-sentence, glancing down at his hoodie's pocket where he had previously held an object inside. Crap, not now, he thought. His hand twitched a few times, then entered the hoodie's pocket to pull out... a mirror. He turned away from blue and stared at it closely, as hard to decipher whispering could be heard... but there were two voices... that Blue could tell for sure.
While scanning the tablet offered by Roxi and using the shop's WiFi to read the Wikipedia entries on [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acre_%28state%29]Acre[/url] and [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Branco,_Acre]Rio Branco[/url], Lexi caught only a bit of Blue's conversation with the hoodied man, but it was enough to put her on her guard...

Sandra walked over to Crystal and picked her up as she squirmed and started to fuss. Another advantage that Sandra discovered is like herself Crystal body is nearly 100% efficient that meant extremely little to no waste products. So that's less diapers. She sat down and held Crystal bouncing her some in her arms. It was such a normal sight who would figure the two were aliens.

Blue paused a moment and waited for the man to finish the conversation with himself. "next thing you know he'll be looking for his prescious" blue thought. Thats when blue heard another voice in his head. "He's fine, he'll definately fit the role needed". He knew it was roxi, her mental abilities, listening in and coming up with her opinion. Blue gave a subtle nod to her and continued. "Well, if you're looking to get away, another continent would work would it not?"
Jayde had walked over to Sandra and crystal and started to play with the baby as sandra bounced her. "She's adorable sandra"....she said smiling at the little one.
Roxi looked and Aiko and said, "So we'll leave as soon as your ready." she stood up, "Jayde is flying you there in an old AN-24 we use. The guise is dropping releif supplies in the town." she realized she had'nt told Aiko about the flood. "The river flooded again and were bringing in clean water and some medical supplies" She explained they really were running a releif effort to parts of the town. But when there, the team would investigate the situation on the warehouse.
"Sounds good," said Lexi. "Who's on the team?" Now she was looking up contact numbers for WHO and the relevant Brazilian authorities, in case things went badly...

He suddenly stuffed the mirror back into his pocket, then looked at the door. "I can't get away even on another planet... another... galaxy... another universe. My pursuer is called paranoia." He said as he turned his head back towards Blue. "I hope my condition is not a problem."
With an easy stride, Roxanne Smythe-Graeme entered the coffee shop. Normally, she would not let a client see her face, but most of 3A had already seen it just before she'd killed their ally, Emerald. So there was really no reason to hide it.
However, she came very close to turning around and walking out when she recognized one of her students from the mentoring program at JDHS. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that she had promised to help 3A after Egypt. Then there was the realization that since Alexis was a gynoid, she'd probably seen Roxanne's face in Egypt and had it stored in her memory banks.
She sat down at the table with Roxicon and Lexi. She nodded to both of them. "Roxicon. Alexis."

Blue looked at the hooded figure and smirked, "You'll be fine, please have a seat with the others."
Heartseeker saw Roxanne and felt a sudden urge of dread over her. She had done her best to put the past behind her in the short time recovering, but seeing her here sent a wave of gloom over her like it had just happened. She felt no ill towards Roxanne, after all ,, she was posessed, and it really could have been anyone of them. Still it wasn't easy to have it all come rushing back like it did.
Jayde saw Heart's unsettling look and comforted her subtley by putting her hand on her shoulder. As she did Blue looked at her and nodded slightly, then he changed his focus and talked to the group directly " Ok all heres what we know, three missing scientists who specialize in germs, our team gone, and the odd sighting of said scientist would suggest they are there under someone else's orders." He paced back and forth, "The warehouse is owned by some dummy corporation that is operating under the ideals of medical aid and research. Plus they have small contracts to manufature medicines , like aspirins and such." he stopped pacing, " the company is Bentley pharmacudicals" he looked at his data pad. "they are supposed to be a smaller pocket corporation of one of the larger pharm companies. We think, they are making weaponized germs." he looked at Aiko " Thats why we need to go check it out. If they are we have to stop it, or at least report it. And we'd like to return the scientists to there homes." he paused a moment . " Jayde and Heart will be heading over with a small team, im assuming Aiko will be joining, and Hopefully you'll be able to join?" Blue looked at sandra knowing her abilities to morph would come in handy." Also Roxanne and ?" he looked at the stranger in the hoodie hoping to get his name, seeing he hadn't offered it yet.
Jayde then spoke up " Wheels up in 4 hours all" she referred to the old AN-24 cargo plane they were taking under the guise of medical releif.
Roxicon added " Glenshadow will not be joining, for all who know him, neither will Lilly, or Syl, they are all preoccupied. Only Jayde and Heartseeker herw ill be accompaning the group to Brazil" then she said, " as before , id's and local currency will be provided on the plane, as well as local transport"

Roxicon stirred her coffee and then sipped it slow. The hustle of the morning shop was in full swing. People came and went with thier coffees and pastries at a fast pace. The new hires proved extremely fruitful for the little shop. They were excellent baristas. Jayde stood behind the counter ever watchful as the customers came and went. Syl sat at a table with steel , lilly, and Heart-seeker. All of them wore no indication of who they were.
Roxi stirred and sipped again. She was parusing a tablet on the table but kept a careful eye on those around her.
" They will be back soon" Steel spoke up to his table.."just because we havent heard from them in awhile doenst mean anything"...
"yes, but its not like them to not follow protocol"....Heart quipped.." especially Blue"......." I mean Glen is infamous for it".....
Syl interrupted her " Stop worrying, Don't you think if roxi thought anything wed be out there as well???"
"Then why the new call?" Lilly so brazenly spoke...loud enough for others to hear.
What lilly was referring to was a new subltle code 3A would put out in papers, magazines, online, and any other form of media to attract the ones who could see it.
They would know to come to the shop for a job.....

Steel walked to the counter and gave a quick nod to sandra, then asked for another muffin. As he motioned to sandra to get him the 'big' one Jayde , who was behind the counter already came up to him.
"Any clue as to why roxi put out a code instead of asking us to go?" she whispered to her old friend and co-pilot. Steel , standing all of 5ft tall looked up to her and said
"I have a feeling we're heading in two different directions"..then he took a bite of the muffin....and smiled wryly.
"how do you know this?" Jayde asked louder than she wanted, even drawing attention from the customers who were patiently waiting for thier turn to order.
"let me see.....well blue and i go back further than any of you all" he said with an almost smug look. "he mnay have shared with me more than others is all "...his attempt at levity only seemed to make Jayde more annoyed than anything else.
Jayde knew Blue and steel were two of the three founding members of 3A, and she also knew they never discussed the third. So his answer eventually did work the way he wanted it to. He ws trying to keep everyone calm. Blue had dissapeared along with glenshadow, on a mish they took that seemed at the time a simple one. All everyone knew is that the two went to some place in Florida so assess an arms dealer. When the regular check ins stopped, and enough time had passed, roxicon vorsza, the ops commander and overall second in command of 3A, put out a code for assitance.
Roxicon no longer sat at the table. She was now sitting with Lilly, Syl, and Heart at thier table going over info on a tablet.
Steel turned around from the counter and followed Jayde's gaze. He looked at sandra and then at jayde and then back to the table. "looks like thier having a breifing without us"...he stated bluntly.
"looks like you were right,"jayde replied " it seems we are not going with them".........
Roxi continued to show the others items on the tablet.........
[I]3A is what the group calls itself. They run a coffee shop downtown called "The Daily Grind", which is where I go when they start placing these subtle ads online. I'll be heading over as soon as I drop off the twins and check in with my Moms. Simone, they have been known to cut through the "stupid human red tape" before, but I strongly recommend keeping your Dad informed. If the job is important enough, he'll likely let you go. And if not, it's probably not worth putting him in more of a fuss.[/I]
At the house, the three girls vaulted off of their bikes and walked them into the garage, Lexi ducking slightly as the door was still opening.

In the several months since MIMIC had shown up on the O'Briens doorstep and they'd accepted it into their family, it had taken the name Adam and begun learning about human leisure activities. It had found that it enjoyed baking, urban exploration, and skateboarding.
Pursuant to that first hobby, the first pan of a rather large batch of brownies were on the cooling rack as the girls walked in from the garage. "Good afternoon."
