Kickstarter Refund Policy

[h2]Kickstarter Refund Policy[/h2]

[b]As of May 1, 2023, City of Titans will make it a policy to no longer issue Kickstarter refunds.[/b]

City of Titans has honored Kickstarter refund requests received by email to contact(at)missingworldsmedia.com since the start of the project.
[i]Kickstarter states clearly in its refund policy that [url=https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005048173-Does-Kickstarter-issue-refunds-]creators are not required to issue refunds[/url], and that creators must only deliver their promised projects to the “best of their abilities.”[/i]
City of Titans' prior refunds to Kickstarter contributors went above and beyond Kickstarter requirements.

[b]City of Titans has delivered [/b] an incredibly versatile character creator (including multiple costume sets and auras), two travel powers, 4 fighting powers, and artificial intelligence foes for players to fight in a visually rich environment using Unreal Engine 5, in Windows and Macintosh. The core features of the game (character creation, game environment and combat) have been delivered to Kickstarter contributors. Following this completion and after nearly ten years of voluntarily honoring refund requests to original Kickstarter contributors, City of Titans will no longer issue KS refunds.

[b]City of Titans is preparing to deliver several large features of the game, which will be available to KS contributors at no additional cost.[/b] These include:
- Massive expansion of city playing environment with eight large city districts
- Expansion of several full power sets for player characters and AI opponents
- Massive expansion of spawned AI non-player characters (including eligible KS BFF and Agent add-ons)
- Missions (Including eligible KS I Know a Guy and Big Dog perks)
- Multiplayer & chat
- Expanded costumes and weapons (including eligible KS Fashionista, Registered Lethal Weapon and Double Trouble perks, as well as Iconic and Everything is Better in Plaid add-ons)
- Player bases (including eligible KS All Your Base perk and Mogul base add-on)
- In Game Memorials (including eligible KS Construction Crew perk, Key to Titan City perk, It Must Be a Sign, Wanted, and Immortalized add-ons)
- Exploration and achievement badges (including eligible KS Bright Lights, Big City perk and Geocatcher Perk)
- Pets (including eligible KS Instant Sidekick and Phoenix Pet)

Some of the tasks mentioned above (such as instanced bases, instanced missions, multiplayer and chat) require servers and financial support. This is one reason that City of Titans will no longer issue refunds, as the game must use funds raised via Kickstarter to move forward and complete these remaining tasks.

Many KS perks and add-ons have already been delivered to KS contributors, such as the “Armchair Hero” wallpaper, lanyards, mouse pads, hand crafted badges and t-shirts.

[b]City of Titans reserves the right to issue any refund if requested, but shall make it official policy to no longer issue Kickstarter refunds.
Second Chance contributors may receive a full refund within 14 days of making a contribution if they request a refund in writing to contact(at)missingworldsmedia.com.[/b]
