2026 Q1 Update

Spring has finally sprung in Titan City, despite the weather, and so has our latest update! We’ve been hard at work the past 3 months and have a list of things to share with you.

First off, we have good news as we continue to fight our way towards our next build. You may recall in our last update we brought up porting features back into Unreal version 5.3 in order to get them into your hands faster. The reason for this was the problems we were having with 5.6– seeing kind of a frustrating, uphill fight, we decided to move some things over to that older, stable version. We’ve since moved to Unreal 5.7, which has resolved some of the challenges of 5.6, meaning that instead of porting things backwards into 5.3, we’ll just be attempting to get 5.7 built and ready for you.

This remains our #1 priority, as it is a primary roadblock towards a veritable flood of other feature work. Seriously, we’re working hard on getting this to you!

That said, here’s a few other things we’ve been working on.

New Movement Options
We’re continuing to explore ways to build out our world, both in terms of travel powers and environmental interaction. Check out some video samples of that both Here and Here
You don’t get to see it in those videos, but swimming is in, also!

A More Functional UI + Powers
At long last, we’re finally getting a functional UI! Check out this early look at cooldown, some power options, and our early work on stacking power effects, like Burn or Chill, Here and some more Here

As you can see, we’re planning on having stacked effects yield a variety of results that depend on the effect, such as the “Chill” effect getting stacking until it forms an ice-y immobilize effect on a target! Look closely and you may also see those effects showing up as icons beneath the health bar.

The Mission System
The basic mission system is functional and ready in our 5.7 build! As soon as we’re able to get 5.7 up and running, our team designated for mission creation can begin to assemble more of this world for you to explore.

Skeleton Upgrade
We’ve upgraded the old skeleton model our system is built on! We began this project working off of a stiffer, older UE4 model with 3 spine bones, while our new one is based in UE5 and has 5. Check out how much smoother that looks

So, what now?
At the moment, we have one main goal: Get 5.7 to build! As you can see, there’s a number of things we’ve been working towards, but a 5.7 build remains the #1 goal, as it then unlocks online features, mission implementation, and of course improved combat, movement, and other functional UI features.

As much as I’ve needled our dev team to give us a clearer look into their crystal ball, there just isn’t a good timeline we can promise you for when this will be available. “ASAP” is the goal, but only time will tell when that magical 5.7 build arrives.
