Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Thoughts on GTAV

I recently finished the story mode of GTAV. I know that GTAV isn't a superhero game, but it has one of the best done cities in a video game I've ever seen. I'd like to start a discussion on what elements of GTAV, if any, you would you like to see in City of TItans. Here are a few things I'm intrigued by:

1. Variable start location. Instead of starting exactly where you left off, you would start somewhere that illustrates something about your character. It's more like your character was doing something, and then you started playing. Here are some ideas:
a) Playing golf in secret identity
b) Just leaving work in secret identity
c) Waking up in bed at base
d) Working on some gizmo at base
e) Training at base
f) Talking with NPC heroes at the hero hub
g) Maybe even in the middle of a bank robbery-either side depending on your alignment. Nothing too hard, just something to get the twitchy fingers working.
h) Signing autographs
I know in some games that leave you exactly where you were I've exploited that for extra loot. This will cut down on that some.

2. Personal space. NPC's don't like you getting in their face and will react in a number of ways.

3. Weirdos. Just weird people around the city you can talk to. Similar to my people watching idea.

4. Minigames. Although I know we couldn't possibly have as many minigames as GTAV, it could be fun to see some done. It would also justify things like golf courses. In an old style MMO a golf course would have to have enemies on it that are waiting to be killed. In a newer style you could have a monster that would rampage across the greens, but it would have to do so every 5 minutes to justify the space. If that area is also a minigame area then you justify the space occupied by such a large structure. As an extension of this, you could also interact with things that aren't strictly even minigames. You could look out a telescope across the city for example.

5. Hookers. OK just kidding :P...sort of...devs? no? OK, fine. I'll drop it. Sheesh. Strippers? ACK! PUT IT DOWN!

6. Radio stations. Could explain why there is always music in the game :P. Seriously though, it could be fun to think about. GTAV also has police scanners that let hear what the cops are saying. That could be a fun way to find out about events- or that you have been discovered, and heroes are on their way.

7. Rural areas. I think it would be interesting if City of Titans wasn't strictly confined to to high density sky scrappers. Some forest or at least suburban areas could be interesting. It could also allow for the players to get attacked by random mountain lions or bears without going to the zoo.

+1 to 1, 2,3, and 7

+1 to 1, 2,3, and 7

7: While CoH had areas like the Hollows and Perez Park that didn't feel like a city so much, but expanding or flying to a rural area to do whatever would be a nice touch.
6: This would be work on the music dept, either getting licenses for real songs, or making songs of many genre.

1. Not a fan. Ignoring things like a DC or RL interruption forcing you to a new location, I personally liked that I could place my character near my next mission. If it was a simple random emote in the location you left I wouldn't have an issue with that (even with the occasional 'doesn't apply' that would happen)

2. I would like to see more interaction with regular citizens, I just hope they would be more along the lines of fluff (emotes, speech bubbles and the like) than actual interaction...I would hate to look away from my computer for a second and accidently bump into someone who takes a swing at me.

3.I think this falls in with point 2 but regardless a variety of npc models and emotes is good.

4. I like mini games but I would be careful to make them fit in well with the super hero genre while being very optional (no permanent OR high powered rewards while still being easy to engage in). CoX had a few things that operated like a minigame. The slots and nukes or shivans from PVP zones. While I think the slots were good the temps from the PvP zones were not.

5. (Insert dumb joke here)

6. Sure I guess.... its not something I personally care about but having it hurts no one.

7. Variety in setting is great. I would argue that any location that was common in comics should be represented in the game, be it a skyscraper, sewer, cave or mars.
