"Yeah, the thing about those danger rooms, or at least the ones I can afford to use...they tend to be full of muscle-bound jocks with no regard for the subtle touch. Trust me, TC native," Terrance said to Tobias after a long pause. It wasn't that he didn't know what to say, it just took him a while to find the right words, especially now that he was beginning to process what he'd just done during the fight.

Signy considered, then decided, "It'd be up to ma mum, and mostly a question of compatibility in the magics. Want me to ask?"

"OK, I'll call when we've finished." Signy wasn't sure what Tobias meant by "finding his wallet", but his babbling was a give away that he was Up To Something. She smiled at him, and then headed back into the shelter.

Technosis squinted and watched carefully, changing places several times for another vantage point around the shifting orb. The melodic tones it emitted gave him more thoughts about the nature of these thing... He tapped his gauntlet trying to feed information to Titan, since Winston and the mecha were in the greatest danger if the thing wasn't friendly. So far it just seemed like some strange object morphing, there we no signs of weapon systems activating, or dangerous energy build up at all.

"Anybody else feel like they've seen this in a movie?" Tech asked absently, setting up a much larger scanning device that looked like a dish.

Terry watched passively, a bit worried that he couldn't erect a barrier around them if things went south quickly. He stood and readied himself though... He'd over exerted himself by some estimates and was effectively powerless at the moment, aside from travel purposes...

Tobias grinned and nodded, giving Signy a quick peck on the cheek if she'd let him before dashing off. He'd send her a text via the goggles and head towards the tower, then in his excitement, entirely forget he was trying to keep up a ruse of getting his wallet, and dashed off down the street. It wasn't hard for the scrawny looking and arrogant scott to get himself into trouble. Four blocks away a mugging was already underway and he made short work, returning the womans purse and taking a few bills off the unconscious 'victim'.

"Hm... Slow night, but 13 bucks for 10 minutes work," He chuckled and continued mugging muggers, or other trash mobs, staying in the vicinity of the tower.

Terrance watched as both Tobias and Signy went their separate ways. With them gone, he took a moment to process things before deciding on this next move. "Okay, so yes I did make an ice pun. No going back from that. It was bad, but whatever. Now, if my mom was alive after the accident, that means that my dad was lying...but what did happen to her then? Must have left. Come to think about it, she was always a cautious driver, so how did we get into that accident in the first place? Did my powers save us?" He would have kept going, but he was starting to feel hungry. His next options were to either find Tobias and go for some post-saving-the-day-thug-thwomping shennanigains, figure out what happened to the other heroes, or try and trace down Signy.

"I guess the girl would be the best place to start. Now, to track a speedster, all I need is...wait, some of them mentioned a clock tower, didn't they?" he asked nobody in particular as he made his way down to the road and decided to walk to the only one that he could see. He'd had enough of flying and scrounging for scraps. All he wanted was a decent meal and a dry spot to sleep for the night. As he knocked on the front door, he hoped that he'd find at least one of them.

Tobias was another three blocks from his first mugged mugger, who was now staked to a wall by his clothes for the police. This was probably not a simple mugging, a small group of Five Dragons carrying an animal carrier at night. They were slinking out of a nearby animal hospital, a cat wailing inside the carrier as Tobias cuts through guns uses his aura to push them against the walls. A few manuevers later and the collection team was broke and unconscious in a dumpster.

"Ohhh sweeet..." Toby counted the money and chuckled, realizing the cat carrier was still there. "Oh, Sorry kitty!" Tobias opened the completely windowless cage and looked inside, there was no cat. He frowned and rifled through the other things the dragons had. "Huh..." A piece of paper with instructions, collect the schrodinger cat experiment... "That was just a thought experiment... There's not even a ca-" Tobias was proven wrong as he looked in the cage again and the bengal looking cat looked at him and meowed. "Oh, huh... There and not...?" Tobias shrugged, how dangerous could a super-position shifting cat be? He stood and started to look for more muggers, even though he had 400 dollars from that group.

Technosis watched anxiously as the orb shifted then melted, his new scanner was helping. He glanced over at Titan and frowned some more... The readouts on his wrist computer and HUD were disconcerting.

"That sounds half right and half wrong..." Tech commented, he moved over beside Titan and watched whatever was forming. "There are organic structures made from 'inorganic' compounds, paired with pretty typical circuitry and other elements..." He sent more data to Titan in case the mech and its pilot Winston could make more sense of the strange techno-organic structure...

Kami came bounding down the stairs and waved at Terrance, her stuffed lion Atrox hung from her back while she wandered the huge empty space of the first floor. She was just as lost here as the rest of the new people who had been left to their own devices.

"Ms. McCallister, Have you seen Toby?" Kami asked, looking between the three gathered hoping for an answer from one of them.

Back at the site of the now amorphous copper... blob? Terry's attempts to stay interested and involved were failing. He stood up and wobbled, glancing over to Sabrina, he squeezed her hand gently and then looked back at the orb.

"I should head back, we left a bunch of untrained kids with our scottish neighbor... " Terry gave a weak smile and stuck around a bit longer just incase, a few more minutes probably wouldn't hurt.

Signy answered Kami as best she could. "He said he needed ta find his wallet, but he didna come back this way. I'm nae sure what mischief he's up ta."

Terrance looked over at Signy. "Find my wallet tends to mean punching a code into a walking ATM around here. I'm sure he's fine," he said from the doorway. He began to feel a little woozy, but managed to stabilize himself before he fell over again.

Oumm landed the crystal humming stopped and he stood up. His form was that of a sculpted man made of crystal reinforced with the metals. Metal plates placed like armor on the crystal body, arm guards, shin guards, chest plate with smaller plates where the abdominal muscles were. Even the shoulders had metal plated armor. The head was pure crystal unlike the body that had the metal bones the head was pure the head was humanoid in shape just without features. As if someone made a head but didn't know what a face looked like. There was no mouth not even hint of lips, it had a brow but no eyes underneath, the nose was about right with no nostrils and he didn't have ears either just curved half disks where the ears would be, they were fully connected to the head not flap. Then he looked around thought no eyes there was a sense it was getting some kind of information and paying attention. Then the crystal chiming again this time shorter and more structured. "Oumm mmmhhmmmm uuuuuhhhnnnnnn" the crystal chime was soft light and something one would listen to when relaxing.

Mar didn't fall asleep he tried, but he didn't feel right he looked and noted his arm was odd. That where the pain was a place where one of the stronger lasers hit him and burnt his skin. He hopped down from his web hammock and exit the bedroom. Not sure where to go he headed down stairs hearing voices. "Hello? I'm hurt what should I do?"

Mar nodded "The nasty things spit light and it hit my arm. It got tingly and I didn't feel it hurt but now I do."

Evaine guided Mar to a seat. "Let's see the arm. And one that's undamaged, too." She didn't want to make any assumptions about Mar's biology, but surely the arms were supposed to be similar. It almost sounded like there was ongoing damage, or perhaps that there had been nerve damage acting as anesthetic that was now regenerating, or maybe just shock wearing off...

"Cccmmmooonnn." came the harmonic voice from the black Onyx head. The see through effect as gone there was now a solid black crystalline figure of a human man with the copper and brass armor plates. Then the head looked at Gold-fire and Oumm tilted it's head. "Mmmmmm ooooohhhhhhhmmmmm Oumm, Oumm, Oumm." When he started repeating his name his hand tapped his chest.

Mar showed her the damaged upper left arm, and followed by the undamaged second left arm. "It stinging now, feels hot." He was healing faster than a normal and her guess the nerves were repairing themselves was correct.

Terrance saw Mar come down the stairs. That was the guy who saved him during the fight! He wanted to help, but he had a feeling that his ice powers wouldn't be useful against a burn, if that was indeed what he was hurting over. As Evaine became distracted by Mar's request, Terrance snuck in, finally accessed the menu in his suit that allowed him to slip out and allowed himself to fall on a couch. Other than bumping his nose on the armrest, it was a pretty flawless exit this time. After positioning himself so that he could see the action, he felt as though he had seen her magic somewhere before, a long time ago. He shook the feeling out of his mind and turned to Signy.

"I'm sure he's okay. Most of the medum level bad guys'd keep low and plot for a while after a giant monster attack. At least, that's how it normally goes. I don't want this to come out the wrong way, but the real big bads probably wouldn't notice him, unless he finds something major by accident."

Oumm looked at Terry a moment then to Garrett "Oumm, this one shall be known as Oumm. Source has become aware of influences of the Mecha Mana in this quantum state. Task is to observe and to assist if found reasonable, terminate if a threat." Garrett would have understood all that to the others it was more notes flowing into a deeper darker tones as it stated the threat of termination.

Mar looked at his arm "It's better now, no longer hurting. Thank you!" He was young and thought his body hints at a 15 year old clearly the personality was still childlike and he hugged Evaine. Of course that was a hug with 6 arms and spider strength so he let go as soon as it dawned on him he might hurt her by mistake.

"Oh, right... And I wasn't allowed to conjure money..." Kami gave a shrug, all of her experience of earth had been of Titan City, though Ironport had never been Tobias and Kami's 'hunting' grounds. "He doesn't know the area well either, so he's just as likely to get lost, but I don't think he'd go too far?" Kami shrugged again and chewed her lip. "Can we contact him somehow?" Kami might be prone to worrying too much about Tobias or others. Sure sign of her discomfort was the fact that she was squeezing Atrox tightly under one arm and rubbing his ears lightly...

Tobias was lucky his leather jacket was somehow magically enchanted, he hadn't done it but it didn't seem to get hurt by anything, and let through to his person even less damage. Still he was panting and stuck behind the wall, each time he looked over to see what was going on the short mecha would pepper the wall with bullets and electricity.

"Bollocks!" Tobias spat, he glanced across the street and could still see the top of the tower in the distance, so he made a dash across the street to get away. He pushed his hand at the mercenaries, a burst of light appearing from it and blinding the thugs. The cat scampered behind him, miraculously disappearing and reappearing in a new place when a bullet or bolt happened to hit where it was before. Tobias got across the street while they were still blinded and chucked another blade at one of the mercenaries, catching him in the shoulder and overloading his pain receptors, while Tobias he tried to run back to the base. Two down four to go, the cat was back on his shoulders now while the mech and the remaining 3 mercs followed loudly.

Tobias had forgotten to send Signy a text so she could have his number until after he ran down the street. For whatever reason it doesn't arrive until just this moment, or maybe their cell phones were out of service.

Yes, that's it, well that's what the phone told him when he used it to find someone. It helped that Technosis put a lot more than a simple cellphone in the goggles. Something about cross referencing deeds, Tobias let the computer do its thing and it found a likely match. Tobias was currently dodging another blast and flying down the alley as he picks up the phone.

"Ah, Hello?" Over the sound of lasers and lightning. Tobias backpedaled and swooped up trying to avoid the electric blaster guys, sadly fire-escapes made poor cover for electricity. "Did I get the right Signy?" He threw a blade over the ledge and hit the robot-suit in the camera, forcing the cockpit to open so the pilot could see.

Tobias wasn't quite out of breath but he certainly was trying. He was grateful he didn't have to use his hands to hold the phone, but would have liked th excuse 'i dropped my phone' by the change in signy's tone... He was currently lunging through a hail of lasers and lightning just a couple blocks away with the guards.

"I think this is definitely the right Tobias. I'm Um... South? Ish? By two or three blocks." He knew the tower faced the water, he was at the back of the tower, so yeah, he was south. "You don't sound very happy." Tobias ducked behind something dumpster and tried to catch his breath, as the cat seemed to decided to trip up one of the goons. "Saved a cat." He added hopefully, while the goons tripped over themselves, more time to catch his breath, the lightning guys really screwed Tobias up...

"Yeah I got in a fight and forever really? I-" The phone cut off.

Tobias was still fighting for his life while she steadily picked up speed with her beratement. The last part he was sure he would have had a rebuttal for but she hung up. Bucky jumped out of the way and up a fire escape while the goons looked around for the sound of laughter, righting themselves. The small powered armor pilot was looking around frantically.

"What's so funny?" Tobias asked as he used the distraction to jump at the powered armor pilot and sink a blade into his chest. As soon as the blade was pulled out the blood stopped and the pilot screamed, while conscious, Tobias didn't dare stab again unless he wanted to do nerve damage. "I swear, I didn't antagonize these though..." Tobias said, ducking for cover while they fired their lightning guns at him. "Aparently I'm very conductive!"

The powered armor pilot regained his composure and tried grabbing for the cat which was near by. Tobias nodded at Signy, though he realized she likely couldn't see him.

"Yeah, I figured it was repaying the favor, only just realized the absurdity of the thought..." Tobias stabbed at the gun of the other remaining shocker goon. Sadly it caused him to get shocked again. "Agh!" He growled as he elbowed the man in the neck. The other shocker goon was trying to melee Signy while he was still awake.

Tobias checked over the rest of the guys, while the wound itself around Tobias' shoulders and said nothing, looking mildly amused. Tobias had all 6 wallets already.

"Man, must be a big job..." Tobias thumbed through the money from their wallets.

"Augh- Ahh! Okay, Okay!" The soldier winced as she came just short of breaking his wrist. "The cat, we were suposed to get the cat, some goons stole it and we're security for the people who were studying it!" The goon crumpled to his knees trying to get some relief from his throbbing hand.

"Oh yeaah, I took 200 bucks off those guys. You guys were paid way more..." Tobias smirked, and waited, he didn't think he needed to help Signy interrogate him. Tobias waved a wad of money, he hadn't counted but it was more than hundreds. Sadly it might not buy much more than a few expensive pairs of regenerating pants, which he'd need.

Signy looked at the cat, and wondered what could be unusual about it. There were stories of cats occasionally assisting Fraulein Dämmerung against the Nasties back in WWII, and she'd heard about Amerikatt here in Titan City, so it wasn't unheard of for cats to be unusual, even for cats...

She held the wrist without applying more pressure, seeking only to restrain him. At least, as long as he was being talkative..."Which researchers? Where? And who's paying for your services?"

Signy heard the meow, but didn't comprehend the significance, or guess that Tobias was repeating what the cat had said. "I'm sure we can find someone who can take it out painlessly... Eden Tech?!" She recognized the company name from Garret's t-shirt, and recalls that they had something to do with Mar as well. "Dinna worry, I havena broken anyone's bones in almost a year. But if ye want to keep coding, I recommend sticking to coding. Strong-arm jobs need stronger arms. And I'll let ye go, as soon as ye tell me everything ye've learned about these... Five-Dragon guys?"

At the Tower, Evaine waited patiently. Surely they would get back soon. Until then... "So, Kami. Can you show me this card game of yours?"

Kami grinned and pulled out her cards from her pouch, now that two people asked her about it!

"It's called Rune Fortress, and you get these cards, monsters, traps, equipment, stuff like that." She showed off her deck, which was a bunch of Tengu, Elves and Oni. "You gotta get into your enemy fortress and beat up their throne." She shows off one of her fortress maps, unfolding it. "It can be a looong game." She grins. "Do ya wanna play?" She grinned at Terrance, then tried to hide another yawn.

Tobias glanced at the cat, then the goon. The cat seemed fine with the fact they could remove the chip, Tobias did not seem okay with a talking cat...

"They wanted the cat, cause the cat could walk through walls, and sometimes just disappear. The boss thought the Five Dragons might want it cause it might be magic, but that's fake right?" The coding goon seemed scared and complient.

"No... Magic is definitely not fake, I'm half demon and 7/16th angel. Did... anyone hear the cat talk?" Tobias raised his eyebrows, hopefully.

"No...? Other than just now... That was the cat?" The man blinked... "Please lemme go, I'll go get a job at Apple and leave the city I promise!" The man was in tears at this point, even without pain...

"Rune Fortress? I've played a couple of times, but I don't have a deck. If you have a spare, I'd love to play," Terrance replied as he shuffled himself around to face his new opponent.

Kami grinned broadly and nodded at Evaines quesation, she held up her cards, only a few of her cards were actually holographic.

"Oh yeah, it's much better than magic! It doesn't take THAT long, unless you use the runes." She held up a bag of plastic runes and poured them out. "They make spells, but they're hard to make." She pulls four decks out of her backpack-lion-plushy. "I've got a buncha decks, these are my spares." She grins and lets Terrance pick.

"Are... you looting that?" He raised his eyebrows as she picked up the powered armor easily. "I mean, I don't have a problem with it but, just curious." He would follow, lifting into the air while the goon ran as fast as he could away from the two scary teens.

"It really itches ya know..." The cat said, scratching at the back of its neck...

"Ya know, I'm crazy enough without another voice in my head..." Tobias replied.

"You're not crazy, and you hear my real words." The cat kept scratching at it's neck.

"Quit scratching, we'll get Tech to take it out when we get home, or Ms. McCallister..." Tobias scratched the cats neck, he could feel the chip. "What's your name anyway, Cat?"

"Bucky Ball." The cat replied.

"That's punny... Nice to meet you Bucky."

Tobias blinked and blushed, Bucky sniffed her hand and meowed at her and sent a thought at her by choice.
*Nice to meet you, I'm Bucky Ball, get it?* The cat had an expression that looked like a cheshire grin.
He didn't want to answer the question so he clammed up... He didn't want her to know about the voices in his head, who were screaming at him to be let out... He'd never let the angel out, and as a result had no idea what would happen to his form. He couldn't take the silence, or lying, so he sighed after a few minutes of traveling, almost a block from the Tower.
"Just two, other than my personal thoughts..." He almost whispered it, wishing he didn't have to admit he was crazy. "An angel and a demon..."

Terry sighed and nodded at Sabrina, squeezing her hand gently as they basically would have to walk back, if there wasn't another for of transport readily available.

"Sorry..." He whispered, hoping he hadn't annoyed her with the teleportation suggestion.

Signy did get it, and smiled; while she wasn't a science geek, she did try to keep up a bit to get the most out of her science fiction. "Clever. Umm, ye're not on a mission from Freya, are ye?" While he'd only been talking to Tobias, it wasn't likely, but the probabilities went up once he started talking to her...

To Tobias, "That must suck. Bet they're arguing all the time. Part of the 'half demon, seven-sixteenths angel' genetic package?"

Oumm looked around seemingly as if Oumm didn't fully understand how to move he walked to the side and looked up at the sky.

Mar watched from above. "Can you tell me about Rune Fortress?"

Technosis seemed to be the only one who remembered Oumm was still there! As much as he wanted to go on the trip back to the base underground, he hung back and waited for Oumm to follow.

"C'mon, uh... buddy? Guy? Oumm?" He quirked his eyebrows trying to think of an endearing psuedonym, nothing came to mind. "Do you need us to lead you back to the base? You coming too Titan?" Technosis didn't know if Oumm could sense the base from the pulsing channels of Machina Mana wrapped all through out the clock tower.

"Okay, sooo, there are 3 types of monsters..." Kami started explaining as the put out a special play mat on the floor, with spells written on the back. "Monsters, Strong monsters and unique monsters. Monsters usually only take 2-4 summon points, which you get 4 per turn. You can sacrifice other monsters to summon strong monsters, cause you get the summon points back." She puts down a tengu and it appears on her play mat, then she puts down another monster, an elf samurai, and the tengu exploded in a shower of feathers. "Unique monsters can be anywhere between but usually, need something special, and you can only have one at a time out." She sacrificed her elf samurai, then put out her Celtic Dragon. "See?" She went through the process from Tengu, to elf, to dragon, the second dragon exploded in fire. She'd go on explaining the traps, equipment and spells next.

Tobias smiled a little and nodded at what Signy said.

"Thankfully, they never agree, except on violence, which makes me feel like being LESS violent..." He shrugged. "I appreciate the offer." He smiled a bit of pink in his cheeks. "I kinda suspect it's like any other Disassociative identity... I could be wrong, but hopefully I can integrate them instead of being stuck like this..." He chewed his bottom lip til it bled... "Just promise me if the demon, or the angel takes over and you can't bring me out somehow, that you'll kill me?" He overted his eyes and Bucky remained quiet.

Evaine watched and learned also, and had a brief moment of regret for the cards she'd put up for auction sixteen years before. Not for giving them up, but that the lack of popularity of the game meant she got back far less than she'd paid. All she had kept were the Norse characters from that one series...

Signy considered Tobias' request, and came to a grave decision. "As Freya is my witness, an I cannae find another way ta save ye, I will take yer life and pray that She take yer soul and keep it safe. But I hope ye'll forgive ma taking the time ta make certain it's needed, as killing ma friends isn't something I ever want ta do."

Kami explained the trap cards next, showing how many times each could be triggered, and then the spells, which were subject to the point system too, but could be saved between turns. Kami tried explaining the runes, but couldn't since she didn't know an language with runes. Apparently you could spell things and make magic happen, but Kami only figured out one word. "Isa" Which made spears of ice. She pulled out her equipment cards too which showed off an armory card that let her pull equipment from an 'armory deck' as an add on... The game took awhile to explain...

Tobias smiled sadly at the promise, and scratched the cat for something to do with himself.

"Thanks, odd as it sounds. " He shrugged. "I don't want to lose to them either, so I'm rooting for me too, but the demon got control once and I nearly killed Kami, took out the side of a building with my aura..." He shuddered... "I don't want to leave Kami an orphan again either, but she couldn't do it if worst happened..." Tobias glanced over and wanted to offer to help her carry it, or hold her hand.

*I think Freya may be intrigued by you... Maybe...* Bucky seemed to be interested in the conversation for a moment, then went to cleaning his head with his paw. *I am.*

"Today there have been four, no five voices in my head... I can only put a name to two, and don't want to name the others, names are powerful things, mum said..." He shuddered again. "Can I help you with that?" He asked as they got to the alley behind the clock tower, no back door.

Kami grumbles a little and nods at Evaine.

"I tried finding a good norse codex, but there weren't any in the library, and the mage library wouldn't let me in cause they didn't believe I was a mage." She crossed her arms and drew another hand full of runes to try out new words. "Bah..." She puts the runes back trying out everything she can think of. "I did find a book about rune divination, so I think rune names work..." She shrugs. "I think we should find out about him..." Kami grinned.

Tobias picked up the legs and carried them following Signy for no apparent reason. Tobias shrugged quietly about the card game idea, he never really thought about it.

"Well, yeah, I think so, Kami got a bunch of cards last Yule, my grandfather and aunts gave me stuff, and her stuff... " He shrugged quietly... "I haven't seen em in a few months though, lost touch, Nephilim are hard ta find too. Heck, he found me when I uh... smuggled... into town..." He frowned, adding another infraction to his list that had yet to be dealt with. "Before that she just did barriers, incantations, inscriptions... She loves that game and made these illusions on the back of her mats at first, so her monsters and stuff walked around." He shifted the suit of armors feet in his hand. "She knows more about it than me, it kinda popped outta nowhere..."

In the grassy playground lot across from the clock tower, a ball of earthen rock and quartz pushed its way up out of the ground, broke open into four pieces, and the quarters receded back into the earth. Cam then smoothed the upthrust dirt back down. He dusted his hands off, then looked up at the others that he'd brought with him. "I'll see you inside."

As he turned, his bare feet glided across the scratchy grass and Cam balled his toes a few times. He preferred the softness of freshly-tilled dirt, but this wasn't too bad.

After trotting across the road, he entered the clock tower for the first time.

Oumm didn't comment about being teleported. Such was not really important. The Mechina Mana he felt was another matter. Oumm moved to where he could see the Dome below. Then he tilted his head there was... something. Maybe to a few they would pick up the ultra high frequency soundwaves he emitting. Echo location to be direct was how the Crystal Golem was Seeing the world, that and being able to feel/detect Mechina Mana. For Oumm the world was echos and the ebbs and flows of energy. He tried to narrow down the sound waves to pin point the disturbance. "OOnnnmmmm Onnnnmmm" 'There is something here.'

"Runes? You mean more letters? I just learned to read CAT! I don't like that game to many new things too much. Can I watch T.V. is Super Squad on?" Mar asked the curiosity over the Game cards faded as boredom set in.

For a brief moment Evaine took in the notion that the young girl may have had less experience of the modern world than the boy who was (chronologically, at least) still an infant. Then she answered, "It's a way of showing moving pictures and sound to people in widespread locations, to spread information and lies, and entertainment and boredom. It can educate you or waste your time. The first thing people learn about the TV is usually how to turn it on. The two most important things to learn about it are how to change the channel and how to turn it off." Noting the people coming in the front door, she called out, "Hello!" to let them know where she and the three youngsters were.

"Hallo!" responded Signy, then she filled in details for Goldfire. "Tobias was recuing this cat, Bucky Balls, or the cat was rescuing him, and the guy who was in the suit was one of the ones the rescue was from, and he said he worked for EdenTech, and they wanted the cat back. Kami blinks and her eyes go wide at the idea of a Television. She grins after the explanation is over.

"Thaat is so cool!" She grinned, she also, had yet to try ice-cream, so she was bounding up the stairs, cards left on the couch, to investigate this new food!

Terry chuckled at the explanation Tobias and Signy gave, then eyed the cat for a moment, raising his eyebrows as Bucky simply lifts his chin at Gold-Fire, like they were two 'bros' meeting on the street, too busy to chat.

"Okay... Well, I'm sure the tech will be useful, when Tech gets here... I'm pretty sure he can remove an RFID mostly painlessly, the cat's not normal is it?" Terry asked with a tone that sounded like he was worried about it. "Guess we add EdenTech to our investigation list too. Besides, it's like midnight! Shouldn't some of you be in bed?" He eyed Tobias, meaning he should try and corral his sister. "You'll have to be ready to go to school in a week."

"Hey, I totally rescued the cat first, then he saved me, slinky bugger." Tobias scratched Bucky's ears for a few minutes, then Bucky seemed to get bored and jump down. "Made some good money though!" He grinned, dragging the suit to the corner by the storage room door. "And um... We're not used to a bed time, and I haven't been in school in like, a year!"

"Then, you'll be a year behind." Terry shrugged, while Tobias grumbled...

"You want a cut Signy, or would you settle for me buying you dinner?" He grinned, not realizing he was inadvertantly asking her out on a date. When he did, he glanced at her mother and then at the bills in his hands and smiled sheepishly, trying not to blush. "You know, as um ah, thanks for saving me." He grinned. "And a date?" he whispered the last part, biiiig secret!

Bucky wandered around the base, when no one was looking he'd do his little schrodinger's cat thing and teleport soundlessly through doors, meowing the whole time.

"Oh this is nice... Oh this smells funny..." Tobias just shook his head as the cat kept up a running monologue of interesting things he found.

Signy looked over at her mother, who sighed and nodded.

"OK," she answered, in a normal speaking voice. "It's a date." She smiled widely, then turned back to Goldfire. "So far, the only thing not normal about him, is that he occasionally talks ta people while he's being mysterious. Otherwise, ordinary cat. That talks. When he feels like it."

Evaine smiled as she shook Garret's hand. "Nice to meet you. And yes, she takes after her father there." She raised her voice just a bit to be sure Tobias heard.

Cam contented himself with wandering around the tower, poking his nose into rooms much like Bucky. He eventually found his way to the kitchen, just in time to be handed a bowl of cookie dough ice cream. He plunked down in an empty seat and inserted himself into the conversation like he'd been there the whole time.

The crash of Oumm going through the skylight sent Signy up the stairs, spoon in hand, but the last of her ice cream was left melting in the bowl.

Downstairs, Evaine asked, "Was that a window breaking upstairs?"
