Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Sounds, Beautiful Sounds

Back when I was way too much into CoX, I mained a pacifist Tech Empath/Elec Defender(Healbot 2.1). I'd only ever use my taser dart to help fight, other than that I was full on heal-mode.

While I will admit that helping people run sewers and watching a team full of red and orange health bars climb back to green made me feel great, a guilty pleasure of mine was always the sound effects. The beautiful orchestra of synth while the whole area bathed in beautiful green light, the long drones of resurrection, the noise that Absorb Pain made that I don't remember clearly but I know it was great...

Thinking back, though, every single sound effect in CoX was great. The sound when you logged in with your character, the slap of your auto attack, Hover/Flight hums, slicing with spines, Inspiration use, launching a slug round into someone's chest, dark abilities especially, it was all fresh and resonant and really fit in and together.

Basically, this is a plea to the City of Titans team. Please, please, tune up and perfect your sound effects. Sometimes it may not seem like it, but the audio quality (no, not just clarity) of a game can be one of the most important aspects of keeping players playing. Many MMOs fall short with this. City of Heroes didn't, and I feel that's why it was so engrossing to so many people.

I can't ever remember how many hours I've collectively spent healing idle people under Atlas and in Pocket D. The sounds were just so soothing and perfect, and I know for a fact I wouldn't have enjoyed my time playing even a fraction of what I did if my heal was a wimpy little "bwoop."

Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can find the empathy sound files? I-I'm jonesin', man. *Scratches arm and twitches*

Oh god, thank you. I just shivered, listening to the resurrection sound again after so long.

I have such high hopes for this game, and I know that you guys will do great.

So, to anyone reading this, what was your favorite sound effect? An odd question, yeah, but you know you have one.

the soundscape of a game is just as important as the visual aspect. I suspect that they will ensure a nice balance occurs for the best possible gaming experience. :)

Believe it or not, my favorite sound in the game was the dreaded "Peacebringer Hum". They were great fun to play, but teams always started complaining about my Human Form only play style

Lay your hands on me
While I'm bleeding dry
Break on through blue skies
And take it high

When I played my Human-form Peacebringer and people mentioned the sound, I just told them it was my 'Angelic Choir'.

I don't know if I had a "favorite". There were very few that I didn't like.
Off the top of my head, though, I really liked the almost sub-sonic hum that preceded a snipe and, even though it seems like it would in reality achieve the opposite effect of the power's intended use, the muffled boom of the flash arrow.

"I don't think you understand the gravity of your situation."
