Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

power set dual pistols

Dual pistols power set was an awesome power set i loved the animations for please keep the animations with that set great detail was out into it. however i think if you are able to change something about it it should be this.

since that set was a blaster set but it required you to be much closer then the other sets it need abit of a damage boost the moves needed to hit just abit harder due to having to get closer then all the other sets.

its nuke was fine but the rest needed some love also it would have been great to even seen this set have a deffence set like super reflexes with it. i know a blaster with a defence set but due to being a much shoter range i think it would be or fair to either give us higher damage out put or more surviablility

again this is one of my favorit sets please dont change the animations on it they where awesome

i also would like to help story wise or power sets i would love to help in one way or another i really miss this game want to see it come alive would gladly do a sub .

p.s. sorry i didnt do this from the start.. my name is scott i played coh since launch made toons such as mortis and mor-lamina and sxott

One problem I had with Dual Pistols was that the animations generally took too long.

in a way i can agree but man they looked cool my fav was excution shot omg was that sexy lol like bam right in the face lol i hope they keep them all or even add a proc where you could use excution shot more often

Im not sure you understand what is being done here Scott. This is not a copy of CoX. Its an entirely new game that is in the spirit of CoX.

As far as animations go, this game has a more player oriented feel. We will get to pick the animations for each power, including where it originates from. So in essence you will be able to make a character who uses 2 guns but is not limited to just the shooting of bullets...it could be magical fire, ghost faces, knives or some other variance that the devs program. Even better is that the animations the game starts with will grow as the game matures so eventually you may see styles of gunplay from the gun kata that we saw in CoX to old west six gun style to John Woo gun ballet.

Heck you may not even want to tie yourself to just shooting guns for a character, you might want to whip out a sawed off or a wrist laser or eye beams or ...or ...or... the point is with the fact that powers will not be hardwired with animations you will be able to make a character that is much more unique in its concept.

The general idea is that you will not get powersets that are 'Dual Pistols'....instead you will choose from the ranged sets which can include burning, cold, physical ect. (this is of course an oversimplification of the actual diversity of powersets) Then you pick the animation from those available (which will most likely include some sort of dual pistol style). So while two characters may both pick ranged physical, you are shooting your guns and the other is throwing knives or using a bow and arrow.

With this visual fluidity you will be able to create some unique styles for your character instead of having the powerset largely define your character.

whether the animations for DP was to long or not, I loved em ta death and it was not a negative at all in my books.

regarding animations, given this is not a direct port but "in the spirit of" I can only hope they come up up with some totally inappropropriate animations for it along the lines of COH. :)

As long as it doesnt root you every time you use a Medium to low power in a set, doesnt matter as much to me if the animation is a tad longer. Still, it depends on what feels balanced. :)

thank you very much on your info its very insightful im alittle out of the loop i would love to know whats going on cuase yestrday i logged in to coh but was unable to use any powers or such so any more info on whats going on would be great thanks again

The reason you couldn't use

The reason you couldn't use any powers is that what you logged into yesterday wasn't "CoH" as in the game. Paragon Chat is exactly for that, a 3d chat interface. It is an effort by a former CoH player over on the Titan Network forums. Missing Worlds Media (as a company / volunteer effort) has no involvement with that project. Paragon Chat has no combat or powers because (multiple reasons) but mostly it has to be recreated from the ground up. There are other efforts to either obtain this legally from the owner of the IP (NC SOFT) or no so legally.

CoX had that great Star Trek

CoX had that great Star Trek Torpedo sound effect for Radiations snipe. That sound is almost 50 years old now.

Shiny and new is nice but nostalgia is good sometimes too.
