This is a bit of a pet peeve request, but will you please make the normal walk and jog speeds of NPCs be the same as those of our characters?
Obviously we'll have super travel powers that civilians won't be able to match, but when we're just walking or doing the standard slow jog in a scenario where an NPC is following us, it would be nice if they could match our speed and neither get left behind nor do the silly run-stop-run-stop-run-stop thing if we're moving slowly.
And the same would be nice if we ever have to follow an NPC. I was following one recently in another game, and if I ran I overtook him and had to stop and wait, but if I walked he outdistanced me and complained I wasn't keeping up.
It seems like such a simple thing to program, yet so few games bother to do so.

I'm 100% behind you on this one. Some games just make things unnecessarily complicated when they could've just gone with a universal base speed and save everyone the trouble. It's more credible when the NPC can keep up with a natural-origin toon with no special movement powers as opposed to lagging behind a toon who's sprinting the same as any other combat-capable human being (eg. CoX) or effortlessly catching up to a toon going at a dead run. (eg. DDO)

I once suggested an NPC 'Rescue' Pod, that a super could deploy to encapsulate NPCs. Then we could either attach a rocket to them and fire them off to someplace safe, or drag them along at whatever speed was good for us. And they would NOT be able to wander around, aggroing random mobs! Also, they'd be generally protected from minor environmental hazards and not likely to walk in the danged Lava.
Relatively intelligent auto-follow function would be priceless, too.

I'll settle for a couple husky Canadians and a gurney with straps.

Husky Canadians or Canadian huskies? :-)

Seems straight forward. Couple caveats from GW2. Norn are very tall and tend to walk very slow for their size because all characters have the same base run and walk speed. conversely Asura, who are very short run very fast. Neither case is perfect. If a player character could modulate their speed to match a target I think that would be best. In SWG:JTL you could match the speed of your ship to a target ship by pressing the M key. So long as your ship could hit the appropriate speed then you'd fly more or less in formation with the target.
