The daily grind is a cafe front for an orginization know simply as 3A. They put hidden 'for hire' ads in newspapers , magazines, the web and even in tv commercials. It's a place where you can try a different character, try being a villain or hero if you haven't yet or even use to spin off another thread . Involvement by the "grind" characters can be simply as a starter, to full exchange. Anyway hopefully some great stories will come from all the talented writers I've read on here .

Unknown kind of my version of Venom. Thought not evil he has no real goal other then survive. He's now mostly crystalline life form that absorbs energy including light hence the black marking and shirt (his clothing also part of him). The black is where he's absorbing the light rays. In his human disguise the effects are reduced but when he goes pure creature form he would be nearly undetectable (Stealth) to scanners. Only way to pick him up is noticing where there nothing to pick up like how we detect black holes by the lack of any form of radiation.
I play Unknown as neutral as possible.

As for the warehouase itself, i have three ideas and would be up for suggestions. Think it can be either a simple mish with more discoveries, a trap, or it gets attacked. i have situations for any of the three, just morer curious to how you two would like to play it out.
Another question , when the mish starts, is it customary to start a new thread on it like "the hunt" was? im new to this rpg posting so just curious .
The habit of making a new thread for missions kind of new. Partly due to how we can't really play in the world so we making as many places to go as we can lol. Another reason it lets other players a RP thread (Whitehold) who don't want to join in the adventures to continue in the main thread.

Oh and the contents is that book, if youd like to somehow incorporate the bookwyrm in here, think itd be cool. the tome itself is called Darkwael. reads like old fairy tales, mutant monsters and such, but really is a recipe of how to make/create/control them.
And rotten, you mentioned in a previous post about stones ron is looking for. File philly' 57 could contain a location of one of them if interested, if not have two more ideas to run with.
Yeah I still have one Crystal Orb that hasn't been put into play. So that's up to being used.

It dawned on me that Unknown more machine like then Aiko. Wasn't really planning on it just how he evolved, Unknown weaknesses are water, EMPs and powerful shock waves sonic type attacks. Anything really that disrupts the electrical signals going from cell to cell.

Whereas [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] is nearly waterproof (barring knife holes), largely shielded from EMP (except for her com gear), and no more vulnerable to shockwaves than the next person. Large amounts of damage (say a 20mm autocannon or a .50 cal with kinetic-energy armor-piercing rounds, or something bigger) might get past her force field, but would have to be punching through that rib cage ALX-32 made for her to reach her CPU, and anything less is just annoying. ^_^ Well, cumulative damage might take out a limb, or her sensors...

rotten, what does the orb do ? i was planning on using it as a power source to fuel the creations of the twisted ones the Darkweal book would enable someone to create. Is this out of the realm of possibility?
Each Orb has power of a Norse god within it. Well part of their power still more than a human would have. So yeah tapping into that power could be possible. I was thinking the last orb be for Jörð - Goddess of the Earth. Using the orb could give someone earth elemental powers. Thought just using the magical energy within for something else is possible.

The comp files are seperate from the actual stored paper files. the purpose being trying to get all the old back logged paperwork saved in a system. Thats part of the mystery and questions that need answering... how , who why did they know , and what other stuff was taken... no answers were revealed yet , i think. have to read back, lol but its all supposed to have jmore questions than answers rght now. and since were only seeing the hero side, there hasnt been any ..back the evil base this guy did this to learn that and such.... it should have more questions. the other files are just possible spinoff scenarios we may want to run later or have someone else use etc.. like they stol the location and sold it (insert bad guy here)

Just a head's up on my part - On May 28th, my husband and I will by flying up to central Wisconsin for 2 weeks, and I'll only have access to WiFi in the evenings after dinner. Much as I'd enjoy being a part of this - if my limited posting ability between May 28th and June 11th would bog down your RP thread too badly, I can withdraw and try another RP storyline for Kat after we get back home again.

Agreed. Sometimes even my evening plans go wonky (tonight included) in those cases, I play it off in my head that my character had nothing significant to contribute, has some excuse to miss combat, and/or simply follows along like a mute npc. Sadly then catching up takes on a different monster lol!

I'm assuming this is now also the Egypt OOC thread? If so, we've just gotten to the motel and unpacked, and will be heading back out shortly for dinner and a supplies run before tomorrow.
I posted a "catch-up" post for Kat, but in reading the various ones before, I may still be a bit out of sync. The plan is for Kat to accompany the others to the museum, and if need be head in first to scout for locks/alarms/guards. That being her skill-set, as it were. :-)

Also, I am seriously considering having one George Argyros having been working there for a year or so about a year before it was closed. Exactly how this leads to someone using the Boston Brakes (haven't seen the CSI episode, I'm thinking from [url=http://www.amazon.com/The-Feather-Men-Ranulph-Fiennes/dp/0688121349]The Feather Men[/url]) to kill him (and incidentally his wife, and almost his daughter Hypatia) in '98, remains to be seen. Quick question: Were com links handed out to everyone heading off to the museum, or will we be on our own if/when we split up?
George would've been of higher than average magical potential, and not so good at shielding himself as Hypatia has gotten.
So if Jotun & Co. take an interest, they might possibly track him back to Corfu, and maybe find out about the collision... Don't know if they'd care what happened to a daughter that hadn't been born until 1990.
If the name is brought to the attention of our heroes, [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] might wonder about this one librarian who reads stories to kids on Saturdays, and any of the team that saw the sketch of the scepter and orb from the Norse Exhibit and knows enough Greek might connect the name with the alchemical symbol for silver used to sign the sketch.

As the group approaches the filigree device (I swear I'll random-generate a name for it soon lol!) it would start to pulse at brighter and brighter levels. Unfortunately I'm still not sure where in relation the group is headed compared to Jotun and the zombies. Equally conflicting, isn't Jotun and/or his orb magic based? rottens group of villains is at the museum already, the jeep from notears is on the way towards the city the museum is in, and i think were approaching, or the museum group is approaching from a different direction. yhave to be, the airport is the only thing east of bawiti .
