I've seen the first 5 minutes

I've seen the first 5 minutes of it so does that count? From what I saw it wasn't bad - I just didn't have the time to watch the whole thing yet. It looks like it'll have a chance as an internet streaming show. At least it might go farther than the 10 or so episodes the last live-action Tick got.

I'll take it! All my

I'll take it! All my Superhero shows/movies are pending the next season/movie, and I LOVED The Tick animated show and the last live action was... ok.

So... I'll take it. Happily.

And it looks at least decent so far. Could get better!

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

The show does look

The show does look interesting, and the writers do seem to have a knack for giving the Tick some whacky lines. I'm looking forward to the next few episodes.

Finally got around to

Finally got around to watching the rest of the pilot. It was fairly good all things considered.

The new guy playing the Tick seems to be trying extra hard to channel an Adam West vibe with his voice but it seems to work pretty well for the Tick. Not quite sure I like the new "texturing" to his outfit (unlike the sort of smooth version from previous shows and the comics) but I'm sure I can used to it. If I can get used to Melissa Benoist wearing black tights as Supergirl I guess I can get used to a Tick with a Batman-esque body armor looking suit.

I really liked the subtle innuendo that the "Tick" might actually be more like a Tyler Durden styled alter-ego of Authur's. There was one point during the show where the Tick says something like "I'm the kind of hero you always wanted to be" to Arthur. They highlighted that Arthur has some extreme "mental problems" that require a bunch of meds that he had conveniently stopped taking just as he first "meets" the Tick. This version of Arthur even seems to have a nervous 'tick' in his eye that the Tick notices as if it was a clue that the Tick is really just something made-up in Arthur's head. I realize they are probably going to be proven to be two completely unique individuals but at least the way this pilot was structured it left you with the vague possibility that the "Tick" might just be a figment of Arthur's overactive imagination.

I was thinking along the same lines. Even though they're both "real" Arthur might start to question it or he might believe it and no one around him will. I could even see them making a running gag out of no one seeing Tick but the bad guys and, hopefully, the retinue of heroes from the Tickverse.

I liked the show, though and will check out any new episodes they release.

I didn't think I'd like the textured suit from the stills released ahead of the pilot. I'm still on the fence about it but it isn't as bad as I feared. Also, if the guy playing the Tick can keep up the performance I'm willing to overlook a lot. He is adding a lot more of the enthusiasm of the cartoon character.
I like Patrick Warburten but his signature deadpan delivery didn't really grab me as The Tick. Interestingly, he's one of the executive producers for the new show.

"I don't think you understand the gravity of your situation."

Yeah I'll probably always like Patrick Warburton's semi-stoic version of the Tick but the new guy (Peter Serafinowicz) did seem to emote a bit more of the "childlike enthusiasm" shown by the cartoon version of the character. To me the Tick was always meant to have the mentality and unbounded optimism of a sugared-up 7 year old "pretending" to be a grown-up superhero who was somehow trapped in the body of a huge, nigh-invulnerable tank.

Well, isn't that a stinker.

Well, isn't that a stinker. Although I'm a long-time and loyal customer of Amazon, I can't watch it. I'm not an American.
